Re: My dad died today
Losing a loved one is not an easy thing by any degree. It hurts terribly although intellectually we understand it is an inevitable part of life. No matter what, the event will shake your world for some time because there is an emptiness that you feel unlike anything else nearly every day. I sincerely feel for you and understand your sentiments. Take things one day at a time and try to make yourself think of the good times you both shared and to celebrate his life when you feel the sadness coming on like a dark cloud around you even if it is through tears. My sincere condolences to you.

And it sucks. I believe that he's in a better place, I really do. Everyone I've talked to today has told me to be happy for him, that he's out of pain. But I'm not ready to be happy, I just need to feel like shit for a while.

Thanks for letting me vent.

So sorry Rhombus.

Know that everyone grieves differently whatever you and your family are doing for comfort is perfectly normal.

I hope you've found peace now.

You're correct. Allow yourself to grieve. Sending prayers
