Yes. The thing is. We would remember if it was Merrie, because it would be so unusual. Same thing with Berenstain.

This is EXACTLY how I remember it.

In school we had just learned about words with 'y' at the end, when I asked one of my parents why that word ended in 'ie', yet sounded the same.

This was in the 60's.

Not even 30 yet, there's no way I could forget.
Literally, no way I could forget. It was my daily ritual.

It was always Merrie. I remember as a seven year old kid thinking that it was weird that they didn't spell it the same way as Merry Christmas.

I remember asking my mum why it was spelt wrong when I was a kid in the early 80's.

This is ridiculous.
Never have I ever seen my favorite show as a child labled "Merrie Melodies"

Merrie =/= Merry

Something is extraordinarily amiss
It's always been "Merry" not "Merrie" for me.
This is creeping me out so hard right now.

As a die hard Bernstein tard I'm gonna have to split with you on this one. If you grew up with tiny toons I think that's what causes a blur in this memory. My most recent mindfuck was while watching Harry and the hendersons. I'm a die hard car guy and I know damn well they drove a fucking jeep wagoneer, not some fucking early 70s ford station wagon. Although I like the wagons too that was not in the movie.

Depend diapers used to be depends.

There are a lot of small things that over the past few years I've completely written off.

The last major one was "If you build it, HE Will come" instead of 'they' will come.
