Other than the Spartan women, who were considered to almost be soldiers with the duty of
birthing soldiers and mothers of soldiers, the Greek women were considered to almost be property, and hardly ever left the family home. Only a few Greek women could be seen as "empowered", and most of those were priestess, royalty or prostitutes, and sometimes the lines between these were blurred.
