Scrump's Pre-Election thread for Tuesday, May 3, 2016
Can we request a pin for those who want to visit here before Scrump starts his thread at 2 PM GLP time? Thanks.

What's at stake:

Indiana Polls close at 6 PM, CST. 57 delegates, all of them have been pre selected. Names of delegates listed at this link.

[link to elections.mytimetovote.com]

More on the delegates/polling data:

"But even though Indiana may be pivotal — it awards its delegates on a winner-take-all basis by congressional district and statewide — the state is a big mystery because there hasn’t been a single poll there. That’s not just because of East Coast media bias (although it may be part of it); it’s a tough state to poll. Indiana law prohibits automated polling, the go-to method for many low-cost pollsters.

The state does not have party registration, which makes it modestly more challenging and costly for pollsters to conduct surveys of the voter registration file. Many of the prolific public pollsters employ the random-digit dialing method, like Quinnipiac, and have no history in the state. I suspect that a few pollsters will ultimately field surveys, but there won’t be many."

The Cruz/Kasich "alliance" where Ted screwed over John should only help Trump's numbers today.

"Fifty-eight percent of voters said they disapproved of the agreement struck by Mr. Cruz and Gov. John Kasich, which called for Mr. Kasich to abandon campaigning in Indiana in exchange for Mr. Cruz’s withdrawal from Oregon and New Mexico. Thirty-four percent approved."

Trump stands at 996. California is currently polling at +36, nearly double from 2 weeks ago.

Thanks, La Raza. Keep up the good work. You're disgusting behavior has pretty much handed the USA our new President.

Why Cruz and Kasich are even in the race any more is beyond me.

And where is Romney? Trump doing way better than he ever did!

HaHa. Which explains why Romney quietly faded out of the picture.

Cruz has no plans of dropping out. As we speak his slimy campaign is still out there buying off the delegates, one by one.

Kasich is reportedly fuming at how Ted screwed him over.

Now he knows how poor Dr Carson felt.

There was a wonderful GLP poster who suggested this link for live coverage a few weeks ago.

I have used it ever since and really like it. I've never had buffering problems and like their commentators such as Dick Morris.

Here it is in case anyone's interested.

Michael Savage was HOT, HOT, HOT Friday afternoon as we all watched La Raza/Black Lives Matter attempt to block Trump from leaving his airplane and again from entering the Hyatt Regency.

His interview with Trump occurs at mm: 51:28

Carly is another blessing to us Trumpsters.

"Twenty two percent say they are “less likely” to vote for Cruz because of the former Hewlett-Packard CEO.

Pollsters also found that Fiorina is either disliked or unknown to many registered voters nationwide.

Thirty six percent have never heard of the former GOP presidential candidate or have no opinion of her.

Thirty nine percent view her unfavorably, meanwhile, versus 25 percent who see her favorably instead."

So what's your take on your state's attitude other than what you witnessed at the polls today?

Please be honest.

Is there much support for Cruz?

Thanks.

The southern half shows some Cruz support because of his bible thumping, but the populated north half is all Trump.

I see Trump winning by 15 at least.

“A Cruz loss in Indiana means lights out.”

"The endgame of the 2016 primary campaign looms out west in California, the final big state on which the remaining presidential candidates are pinning their hopes. But to get there, they'll first have to make it through Indiana, where things aren’t looking so good for Ted Cruz. The Texas senator is pretty nearly finished if he cannot beat Donald Trump in the winner-take-all Hoosier state, whose delegates could easily set the Republican front-runner on a glide path to clinch the nomination.

According to several staffers who spoke to Politico, Cruz is nervous about the outcome of Indiana, where Trump has a significant lead. (The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll, released Sunday, has Trump a whole 15 points ahead of Cruz.) One senior aide said that while the campaign hadn't discussed dropping out before the final round of primaries, which includes California, on June 7, Cruz wouldn't be likely to stay in if there was no longer any chance for him to win. “A Cruz loss in Indiana means lights out,” Scott Reed, the chief political strategist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, told Politico. “Game, set, match.”

I agree. What I'm hoping for is that Kasich supporters will be so pissed off they'll vote trump over Cruz.

Cruz will eek out some delegates but I pray we get at least 40 of the 57.
