I could find a link, but the gist was, before the climb, she said in an address, We all have heard stories of novices blocking the way for us experienced climbers. the one I feel sorry for, is the green man, the guy whose head they insert their crampons into\ disgusting self centred jerks. |

If its all just a boast i guess. Theres no need to put yourself through it and nobody cares,... Want to be fit and healthy then eat healthy go to the gym and do some running. Want a great view go drive up to a good viewing point or visit a viewing platform on a high tower. Life is a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves. |

Quoting: Face Palmer We can still easily say that meat-eaters are more likely to die on mount everest than if you are a vegan. Statistically speaking, yes. Place was sacred as well wasn't it? I can imagine base camp as a littered shit filled drug and alcohol fuelled party as they stare shit scared at whats ahead and too proud, too arrogant and too stupid to listen to the inner voice of doubt. Maybe instead, just dig a 9 km deep hole and let the Everest aspirants jump down there. thrill seeking albruistic fuckwits (I made albruistic up) |

She might become the example of what we were for future sentient races... They will think we suck! |

Quoting: Face Palmer lol, nah face, but something very strange IS happening this yr as over 12 climbers and sherpas (they never tell u these) have died from altitude sickness and a further 400 being treated at various stages up everest. 30 are sick close to summit right now and they are trying to rescue them. something isnt right, their's never this many and very few deaths from it a yr. maybe less oxygen at high altitude than normal? if so why?? |

Even the climbing bloggers are commenting on the unusual number of altitude sickness cases this yr, shit people are even dying from it during lower altitude treks as a pose to climbs. [link to www.telegraph.co.uk] [link to www.nepalmountainnews.com] The korean guys were just trekking which is lower but still a dangerous region altitude wise. Trust me, this sickness although common rarely results in death as they recover after going down a few thousand meters but this yr it seems that despite this people are till dying. Those 30 up everest suffering right NOW are in deep shit!! |

Which are vegan. So I do not see the point here really. Women should maybe not eat vegan due to iron. I had a female friend who was vegan and felt sick all the time and then started to eat meat and felt great. |
curry nosher User ID: 1596741 Nepal 05/23/2016 07:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The thing is, people are ignorant. Everest may be the highest mountain ( above sea level ) and only just, but it is certainly not the most difficult to climb nor is it the most dangerous .K2 ( chogo ri ) is far far more difficult and dangerous to climb, most of the climbers that attempt everest wouldnt dare try K2. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71687197 Not gonna disagree with that, everest has its reputation mainly down to it's height and cos of that it is very difficult to climb but a lot of people try it who are not hardend climbers etc and adds to its reputation for taking life. Their still are many unclimbed peaks in the world, some are just nr unclimbable, and others lay in territory that bans it for various reasons, religion included as they are considered sacred... as they should be. Everst is just a tourist trap for the rich now imo. A few days ago 200 people were expected to summit in one day! Thats a crazy stop str line with everyone getting 2mins at top etc. Statistically 20 of these will die on way down. Last Edited by curry nosher on 05/23/2016 07:48 AM |
