everyone is different and everyone needs different things. because your best friend is a vegan does not mean it would work for you. because your neighbor can drink soda and beer and doesnt look bloated and fat doesnt mean you can follow that route.

through a lot of self-testing i can attest that i found a formula that works really well for me.

funny that today is the end of week one health rebooting for me and i see a couple posts on fasting. i watched the video on the other post about a higher mental clarity from fasting. my personal experience has found this but i only had ideas why; now i can look into medical research a little farther.

what happens with me? well, i drop all food for about two days. i crash pretty hard. i do take in vitamins and minerals, amino acids and fatty acids, but only through supplements. plus, when i do this, it is incremental as i head to day three.

when i get to day three, i find that i can retain information or study something INTENSELY.

day 4: i start adding caloric needs back. maybe three hundred calories for the day. day 5: increase. day 6: increase.

my goal is always the same, increase natural whole foods until i get to my desired fat:carbs:protein amounts. the ratio is also balanced so that i have certain things during certain parts of the day.

so i am a week into my reboot and i can say that a 1g protein per kg of body mass works well with me. as of being 2.5 hrs into my day, i have 50% protein done. most carbs in the form of (sugar) are done and the added sugar is at 15g, well below the ~30g/day recommended. also, i have 35% of my potassium in. considering that the recommended daily amount of potassium is 4800mg... well i like that.

their is a personal science to diet and lifestyle. some people are lucky and just have it. others seem to struggle. i had to learn and experiment. it took a lot of dark days to get to where i am at. but i can say one thing, what i do works, and it shows.
