Freemasonry, like any other organized and relatively powerful group, can, and has been infiltrated to further the aims of the subverters. It's just that the lower ranking members usually don't know what the higher ranking members actual goals are. Masonry alone is not evil. But certain people use the organization for evil ends.

Some of my family were very high ranking Masons and no, they weren't out to enslave the world. Very caring, generous and successful people. I'd join a lodge but at this point I know way too much to start the journey at the bottom. It would feel contrived.
