Does the 7.2 in Philippines changes things for Chile?
Quoting: Mikromanic I don't think it eases the situation if you mean that :/
For example in 1906 two 8+ happened (Valparaiso and Aleutian Islands)on the same day an hour apart from each other.
I can give a few more examples, actually this quake in Philippines probably is in anticipation for Chile sadly:
12/08/16 6.7 Northern California
12/08/16 7.8 Solomon Islands
04/15/15 7.0 Kyushu, Japan
04/16/15 7.8 Ecuador
05/29/15 6.8 Alaska Peninsula
05/30/15 7.8 Bonin Islands, Japan
06/23/14 6.8 Kermadec Islands
06/23/14 7.9 Rat Islands, Aleutian Islands, Alaska
05/23/13 7.4 South of Fiji Islands
05/24/13 8.3 Sea of Okhotsk
04/04/10 7.2 Baja California
04/06/10 7.7 Northern Sumatra, Indonesia
and last but not least
