[link to www.rainbowbody.com] One day in late summer, an old farmer was working in his field with his old sick horse. The farmer felt compassion for the horse and desired to lift its burden. So he left his horse loose to go the mountains and live out the rest of its life. Soon after, neighbors from the nearby village visited, offering their condolences and said, "What a shame. Now your only horse is gone. How unfortunate you are!. You must be very sad. How will you live, work the land, and prosper?" The farmer replied: "Who knows? We shall see". Two days later the old horse came back now rejuvenated after meandering in the mountainsides while eating the wild grasses. He came back with twelve new younger and healthy horses which followed the old horse into the corral. Word got out in the village of the old farmer's good fortune and it wasn't long before people stopped by to congratulate the farmer on his good luck. "How fortunate you are!" they exclaimed. You must be very happy!" Again, the farmer softly said, "Who knows? We shall see." At daybreak on the next morning, the farmer's only son set off to attempt to train the new wild horses, but the farmer's son was thrown to the ground and broke his leg. One by one villagers arrived during the day to bemoan the farmer's latest misfortune. "Oh, what a tragedy! Your son won't be able to help you farm with a broken leg. You'll have to do all the work yourself, How will you survive? You must be very sad". they said. Calmly going about his usual business the farmer answered, "Who knows? We shall see" Several days later a war broke out. The Emperor's men arrived in the village demanding that young men come with them to be conscripted into the Emperor's army. As it happened the farmer's son was deemed unfit because of his broken leg. "What very good fortune you have!!" the villagers exclaimed as their own young sons were marched away. "You must be very happy." "Who knows? We shall see!", replied the old farmer as he headed off to work his field alone. As time went on the broken leg healed but the son was left with a slight limp. Again the neighbors came to pay their condolences. "Oh what bad luck. Too bad for you"! But the old farmer simply replied; "Who knows? We shall see." As it turned out the other young village boys had died in the war and the old farmer and his son were the only able bodied men capable of working the village lands. The old farmer became wealthy and was very generous to the villagers. They said: "Oh how fortunate we are, you must be very happy", to which the old farmer replied, "Who knows? In other cultures medicine men and woman get training on how to handle walking between two worlds. Unfortunately we don't really have formalized training in our culture and a lot of sensitives are sort of forced to make their own way through the forest and hopefully come out of it on top. And there are great rewards for those who find their way. But it's always really unfortunate to see those who fall by the wayside because there's no proper guidance for them...people with lots of potential who were just put into a really intense environment they had no context for and it flipped them out.... I think when you are born that way, it's never a problem until society starts to intervene...I mean when you are a child, your mental world and the things you have the natural ability to see and experience are never questioned by adults. Then as you start to mature you get society beginning to scrutinize and direct your development and dictate what experiences are "okay" and which ones are "problematic"....so as a "natural" you can sometimes be lucky enough to have mentors or parents who can nurture your potential and help solidify the positive spiritual qualities while helping you navigate the social norm....or sometimes you aren't so lucky and grow up in an environment where everybody is hostile to your natural abilities and sees them as pathology, or even worse when you come from a very abusive environment and your spiritual potential turns into full blown insanity because it was just not nurtured by those around you.... it's unfortunate as a child we are often so attuned to our gifts and alternate ways of seeing and sensing things but then we become conditioned to second guess our experiences and tell ourselves, "no, this is wrong, reality can't work that way, it works the way my teacher says, it has to"...then we stop being able to see with the minds eye after awhile...and once we reach a certain age it's simply no longer acceptable to have "imaginary friends"...and such That is a great response Kayli...thank you very much...yes it is unfortunate we don't have the training. I can only imagine how many people are in the psych wards because they never had their gifts nurtured. I guess I was lucky because my parents let me explore whatever I wanted to in that regard. I never asked them why...as if I had a daughter I am not sure I would let her practice magick or read tarot or any of that at a young age. It would have to depend ya know... Yep you are right we stop being able to see with the minds eye...when you tell it to stop it will. From experience when I was younger I found that out. It does not stop right away...but if you stand your ground and say no stop it leave me alone...eventually you won't see anymore. I have read Kayli...when this happens it usually does not return...well for me it did lol Maybe I invited them back in...or I think something happened that opened me back up again...   I had that happen to me when I was seeing strange stuff in the sky...when it was really scaring me, I told it to go away and stop, and I stopped seeing/experiencing it...then I eventually sort of regretted that... I know that I first read on this site that "once you open certain doors they don't close again"....but I think you're right in that if you really focus your will and stand your ground and banish that stuff it does leave you alone. My problem has always been...."curiosity killed the cat" lol...I always wander back into "field" and I think invite that stuff back by default...it's like I'm "testing my limits" or something....thats why sometimes I really go to far and have to stop posting awhile lol...ground myself in reality again... Wow...I mean we are similar creatures Kayli...yes I think that saying about opening doors...when you get deep in it honey...when they see you... Well then no going back...they will ALWAYS see you... Me too! lol then I think well I'm here it's fucking nasty energy...probably should not have wandered this way but now I got to deal with it. Stand my ground and face it...that's the tough part...if you don't face...you will keep coming back around to it...just to face it again and again... Exactly...it's like "the only way out is through"....I used to believe that there is this similar "personality" type that I get confronted with over and over again in life....and my response to it always was to cut it out of my life and move away from it but I would just encounter it again in another person.... I started to wonder if this "personality" would continue following me until I dealt with it...like untangled it somehow, maybe there could just be no other way of dealing with it except to confront it. |

Even if you were world famous or something like that, who really knows the REAL YOU? the living being with thoughts memories and emotions that lived a whole life and died - that is something that is always destined to pass, that is something that even your best friend and most intimate lover cannot recreate because it was something totally unique to your singular and temporary existence. I wish I knew more as well, and I think that's one of the reasons that people like us are drawn here, and I think so many of us are driven by the same exact questions and are seeking the same answers, so maybe we can learn from each other. When I get to that point, where it's all too much and too overwhelming, there's almost nothing that makes it go away...it's like wherever I turn it finds a way to rear its head. Sometimes - maybe this is why the energy in my threads is something that can make you feel really sick sometimes - I tend to be driven on by that 'chaotic' overwhelming kind of feeling....like it possesses me or something, instead of making me sick, and I only feel the fallout later.... It really can be terrifying though...but I've never really felt like I had the option to 'disengage' entirely. I take breaks from glp to sort of try and reorient myself and ground myself sometimes but that doesn't make 'it' go away, like there is some kind of 'hook' in me and it always draws me back, I don't think it's exclusively a 'glp thing' by any means but it's almost like there is a certain 'magnetism' here or something that brings it together and makes it all stronger or something? |
