Why do all of these stories have some type of higher power or more advanced race with advanced technology? They are greater than we are so resistance is futile.

Bad things are happening to me, beyond my control. I have no control over my life, something is manipulating me.

-No self accountability.
-No self responsibility.
-No self control.

Kind of sounds like the exact same reasons the religious love their religions. They will never part with them, kind of like a teenager that still has their security blanket.

How the fucking hell are we ever going to evolve into a society that does not try to kill ourselves off?
