Silver alone is an antibiotic...hence "silverware". Feeding yourself with a tool made of a natural antibiotic is pretty ingenious. Of course silverware is now just a word...not a description of the tools.
Quoting: Chip also gold, worn against the body, cures and prevents arthritis. Handling it etc. does the same thing.
