Pensions Timebomb in “Slow Motion Detonation” In U.S., EU and Internationally | |
Larry D. Croc User ID: 70736097 ![]() 06/09/2016 06:44 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good observation, Tess. There is an unbelievably high amount of "unfunded liability" plans here in the US that will never be able to payout in accordance with what was promised. Ultimately they'll end up as part of what we call the PBGC (Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation) and be paid out at pennies on the dollar. The Teamsters Union pensions here in the US are an early example. "Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it and hell, where they already have it." "The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title." Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. The woman who is not pursued sets up the doctrine that pursuit is offensive to her sex, and wants to make it a felony. No genuinely attractive woman has any such desire. - H.L. Mencken, In Defense Of Women |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72357662 ![]() 06/09/2016 07:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I was a younger man, I had many thousands in "Old Court Savings and Loan" in Baltimore. They were offering 11% interest. Irresistable. Everybody knew Sum Ting Wong, but we put our money down, "BELIEVING" that the FSLIC was covering our bets. Turns out Jeffrey Levitt, the bankster, like Bernie Madoff was running a Ponzi scheme, whose string had just about run out. A little jewish lady came into our place of business one day and said, If anybody here has any money in Old Court, you better get it out now. They're about to go under. That afternoon, I went and got a cashier's check for all I had there and deposited it in the Savings Bank of Baltimore. It cleared and I relaxed. I called my brothers who also had a chunk in there and gave them a heads up. Poo poo. "You're going to miss out on 11% interest on the word of some old jewish woman?" A few days later, the lines formed outside of Old Court Savings and Loan, and a few days after that the doors closed forever. It took my brothers over 3 years to get their money out of the receivers of Old Court S&L. The Moral: Some people know what time it is. Some people don't. When TSHTF most people are going to be caught with their drawers down. They are the same people you hear every day, POO POOING all this doom talk. |

Basically, these 3 groups especially are responsible for extorting through any means available, including strong-arm tactics, their special privileged employment status. Common for tax increases to be necessary to exclusively pay off these public sector unions and their elaborate benefits packages, pay, pensions, healthcare costs (often even retirees continue to receive their very generous and inexpensive tax payer funded healthcare packages in addition to generous benefits. |
