FEDERAL APPEALS COURT: PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO CONCEAL CARRY!!!!!

Open carry is still good.

Open carry is prohibited in most locales in California.

Most locales in California will not issue concealed-carry permits to the average citizen.

Therein lies the problem, and the reason for the original lawsuit.

If the 2nd Amendment guarantees the right of citizens to bear arms, how may they do so, if they have no option to carry openly or carry concealed where they live?

Well this forces the issue now to the Supreme Court.

California Appellate Court cannot rewrite the Constitution.

I don't look at this as a defeat for the 2nd Amendment. I see this as the fight we want at the Supreme Court level. I don't even really care that they are making the issue about open carry vs. concealed carry.

Look - California can't have it their own way. They cannot interpret the 2nd Amendment differently than the rest of the country. Isn't that what the Supreme Court said when they passed gay marriage? Despite the fact that we here in Oklahoma had the definition of marriage as a man and a woman written into our state Constitution?

So - The Supreme Court will have to rule on this. If the Supreme Court rules as they did in DC vs Heller that the 2nd Amendment does provide the citizenry the right to carry.....then California will be forced to allow it.

If - The Supreme Court rules in favor of this appellate judge that the 2nd Amendment does not grant the citizenry the right to carry.....then it is game on!!

Don't conceal them.. 'secure them' to your body in plain sight & comfortably accessible. In the old days 'gunslingers' carried one on each hip & a rifle tied to the saddle bag(s) of their horse.

They rode up looking for fight.. & usually found it within a few minutes. There's a difference between those who want to carry for show & those who carry for a purpose. The ones who want to carry for 'show' are likely going to end up dead or in prison before morning.

Guns don't kill people and a bullet doesn't want to kill any one either.. the idiot with his finger on the trigger is the idiot voted most likely to 'kill'.

Approach the amendment as it is & within the spirit that it was written.. even in the wildest of western history you didn't bring all your guns to town. Strap two to your hip, one in each boot and a couple more under your armpit..

For the most part an accessible riffle secured to the saddle bag was all that was needed.. today I suppose it would be kept in the rack or secured behind the seat of your truck.

Any nitwit wanting to parade up main street with a 'Clint Eastwood whistle'.. just because they think they can. Is probable going to end up dead, toe-less or in prison.
