I have pics of my Grandparents taking my Mom to Santa Monica beach when she was the same age my Grandkids are now.

I think, although they were covered up pretty good, you could see more 'through' the fabric than if they were just wearing a modern bathing suit. Maybe they 'wuz in rebellion'. lol

Its amazing to see the ocean and those people playing in the seaweed when it was clean. They had no worry in the world. The ocean was freedom then. Not something to be concerned about what chemicals you were getting on your skin.

The women are suprisingly comfortable in the early 1900 poses. considering they normally would be showing no skin. They guys are probably freaking out but keeping it together.
But the culture then was not the same now where sex was the first thing people thought of.
