Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson released after arrest for obstructing highway while live-streaming Baton Rouge protest

Mckesson was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of a highway of commerce. A police report said he repeatedly stepped onto a street after police warned protesters "to stay out of the roadway and to not impede the flow of traffic."

They need to do a thorough search to find out how he's getting money, who he's communicating with and the motivations and plans for disruption. Like plans for the GOP convention riots and such. This can then expose the terrorist and political agenda of the group. Is he working for Hillary? Is he in communication with Islamic terrorists? Other elements of organized crime? At the very least he's bound to be a criminal that belongs in jail.

Later, officers approached Mckesson. The smartphone he was using to broadcast the march and his ongoing commentary fell from his hands as he was arrested.

According to other activists, two police officers slammed Mckesson to the ground and took him into custody along with 33 other activists.

In a text message to The Post from within police custody, Mckesson said he and the nearly three dozen others were in custody together, wrists tied, and being taken to a police precinct. A police spokesman confirmed his arrest to the Advocate newspaper but did not elaborate on potential charges and did not respond to a request for comment from The Post.

Mckesson called a close friend in Baltimore around 5:30 a.m. and told her he was in okay physical condition but did not know when he would be released, the friend told The Post.

Seems Wesley Lowery is a pretty interesting person. He was arrested in Ferguson, recently won a Pulitzer Prize, and sparks some controversy:

Betsy Rothstein, a media blogger at The Daily Caller, frequently criticizes Lowery, often referring to him as an "activist."

"Wesley Lowery is more a protest organizer than a reporter," she said. "If you critique his Ferguson coverage, you are a racist. And I'd imagine the Washington Post's top brass can't be too happy with him calling people racist on Twitter. Everyone knows Wesley is way too out of control for The Washington Post. I feel sorry for his editors."

Asked if he's been approached by his editors or Washington Post management about his Twitter activity, Lowery said, "I was not approached by Post management about either of those tweets, nor ever about tweets about my personal experiences or background."He said, though, that there are "ongoing conversations about [news] coverage and what that looks like across various platforms, including twitter."
