If plainclothes civilians went after the suspect with guns drawn, they would have been shot by police. THAT would have been the biggest security issue. The people open carrying knew it, the police knew it, and that dildo mayor knows it.
Many more variables at play here than this douchebag is factoring in with his purposefully misleading statement.
