Anonymous Coward User ID: 72570769 United States 07/14/2016 06:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Moments later, Noble turns toward the officers and yells “I (expletive) hate my life” as he takes two steps toward police. The officer with a handgun fires two shots into Noble, who immediately falls on his stomach. Noble turns onto his back a few seconds later. The officers continue to tell Noble to show them his hands as he is lying on the ground. Noble’s hands appear to be moving up and down his chest and stomach. The officer fires another shot from his handgun into Noble. Again, Noble’s hands appear to be moving up and down his body. The officer with the shotgun tells Noble that if he doesn’t show them both of his hands, he will be shot again. Noble’s hand moves again, and the officer fires his shotgun into the fallen man. Twelve seconds pass between the third and fourth shot. The video ends with the shotgun-wielding officer pleading with Noble to show his hands. In all, it was about three minutes from when Noble pulls over to when he was shot the final time. |

Or other people with neurogical or psychiatric disabilities. Shooting a person for not obeying orders yelled out is insane. And driving with your handgun drawn and aimed a car driving away from you is beyond any common sense. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 71906519 United States 07/14/2016 06:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The police gave clear direction which was not complied with. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71672385 The offender gave strong indications he possessed an item in his pants. Most likey a weapon. The officers did well to delay shooting as long as possible. The offender continued to reach for an item on the ground. Perhaps the officers could have moved back to cover to provide time to assess whether the offender did retrieve an item but very difficult in those circumstances. They used the right use of force for that situation. I guarantee, if you shot someone under those conditions, there is no court in this land that would not have convicted you of murder. Qualified Immunity has to stop. These guys should be stripped of everything they own and have their guns taken away and fired and face the electric chair. They are murderers. Fucking beasts! This happens way too much. Its about to stop, though, because BLM is gaining traction with every shot these bastards discharge. its a good thing I wasn't on the scene. I'd be testifying against them. They are playing judge, jury and executioner. Too much more of this and there's going to be a merging and there will be an ALM. Government agents should not have the power to murder you without punishment. Its very upsetting to see blatant murder on the screen and then hear assholes justifying it. FUCK YOU! The cops are overbearing and entitled assholes. To act like you need to obey them like the voice of God himself is just foolish. Giving a class of other humans that kind of authority over you is a recipe for disaster. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 72110734 Canada 07/14/2016 06:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If there is no gun visible there is no justification for murder. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72575210 Doesn't matter where hands were, there was no threat to the pigs You are 100% correct. Only a sociopath or someone with a vested interested in enabling these types of felony crimes by cops would disagree. Of course there's not justification for murder, but there is justification for using a taser or a shot in the arm. If you're saying you'd stand there and wait to SEE the gun and feel the gunshot before you did anything, I call BS. |

I personally don't think he should have been killed. No weapons were found on his body. June 25 They had no idea he would or would not have had a gun, the fact is he was acting non comliant and strange, if you were in a situation like that and someone kept on reaching behind the backs you would make the same assumption that he had a weapon. It seems people just don't get it, cops see this kind of thing every day, people expect them to be machines which they aren't. I say he got shot because he did not make things easy for everbody concerned. He could have pulled over quicker, he could have shown both hands whilst in the car and he could have shown hands when he was outside the car. And he should not have walked around like some cowboy, the prick got shot because he had a bad attitude. Hey dumb ass, if it had been you that shot him, in the same situation your ass wouldn't see your own bed again for 20 years. and those same police officers you are defending would sure as hell subpoena these posts to show how you thought you were somehow justified in murdering someone in that situation. What is so hard with just supporting a legal system that works and quit making excuses for blue thugs? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72110734 Canada 07/14/2016 07:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72574370 so in your mind, it is perfectly ok to shoot someone 3 times and with a shotgun because what? they didn't know he was unarmed, which they didn't know if he was armed. quit fucking supporting this shit. it is pathetic. You lack comprehension skills if you've deduced that from my posts in this thread. I'll spell it out for you...they shot the FIRST shot because they probably thought he was reaching for a gun. So yes, I do believe the first shot was justified although I don't understand why a taser wasn't used, especially when there were four cops. So now, fuck off and don't post my way again. you are rationalizing for the cops. they shoot to kill now always. how could the first shot be justified. I didn't know not putting your hands up is justification for murder. there was a time in america not that long ago, cops would shoot in the arm, leg, taze. now it is just murder. these cops will walk. If I offended you, I apologize. this really bothers me because everyone is a target by the police. They stole 2.5 billion dollars from US citizens in 2015. If cops are so on edge, they need to be relieved and replaced with those that aren't cowards. this happens over and over. these cops will walk. how fucked up is that. maybe I am crazy but if cops in america kill more americans than every terrorist attack on US soil plus 15 years in iraq and afghan combined, we have a authoritarian problem. I have seen videos where the cops give like 5 secs from saying get on the ground before shooting. America isn't a warzone, we aren't terrorist, why do the cops feel the need to treat us that way. I think she is on point, however this a well thought out and well written post. Why are they trained to kill and not immobilize? All the shots are for the chest, in every shooting. This is THE question and the cops in your country need to address it. |

I personally don't think he should have been killed. No weapons were found on his body. June 25 WTF! The police of years past needed to know 100% that a suspect had a weapon and was going to use it before they could resort to lethal force! What kind of training is going on where the mere suspicion that someone has a weapon justifies the use of deadly force? The law enforcement community in this country needs to revisit how things use to be 20 to 30 years ago. It's not because of changes in training it's because more and more cops are killed from the slightest traffic infraction encounters. Would you risk your life to be sure the person is armed when it takes one second for him to reveal that he is as he shoots at your face? This guy wanted police to think he was armed as he rushed them. Yeah, not really, there are about 125 cop killed every year, only about 40 are shot. The numbers have also steadily decreased ever year since the 70's when the numbers shot were about 150 per year. Being a police officer doesn't even rank in the top ten most it's 15th. On the other hand I have worked as a roofer which is ranked 4th and I'm certain I wouldn't get a pass for murdering someone because I have a tough job. If police officers were charged like citizen the murder rate would go up over 400% in the US. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71581634 Finland 07/14/2016 07:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I get the concern and think the best eventuality is that the kid is immobilized, but the reality is that there's always the possibility that someone is on drugs and not even able to think rationally or process pain or commands any longer. Some mind-altered dude gets shot in the leg, goes down, doesn't even realize it, but still able to reach for a gun and fire at the cop. Drugs completely fuck up not only the judgment and thinking capabilities of the brain but also the sensory perceptions. If some kid is acting erratic like that, then they could easily be assumed to be under the influence of something, which then means if he keep messing around, the cops are probably thinking, 'oh shit, it's either him or one of us.' As for the deaf or other types of handicaps, well, yeah, that's a whole other issue that I would like to think is address in police training. I'm not too confident of that, though, so God help those people should they ever get stopped. |
