Pope Francis has called for a change to the wording of the Lord’s Prayer, as the existing translation implies God “induces temptation”.

The prayer, also known as Our Father, asks God to “lead us not into temptation”.

Re: Duat do what
An original copy of a piece of heretical Christian writing describing Jesus's secret teachings to his brother James has been discovered in archives at Oxford University.

The script, more than 1,500 years old, is one of only a small number of early Christian texts to have been found in Greek, their original language of composition.
 Quoting: Jesus

[link to www.independent.co.uk]
 Quoting: aether

Gnostic texts like The First Apocalypse of James were likely banned because of their "different understanding" of what Jesus' importance was, Landau said.

"They understood Jesus much more in terms of being a revealer of human wisdom than as a messiah," Landau said. "According to these Gnostic texts, Jesus taught people that the material world was actually a prison crated by an evil god — a lot like the movie 'The Matrix,' essentially."

In The First Apocalypse of James, Jesus describes this prison to his brother. He reveals that the world is guarded by demonic figures called archons, who are blocking the path between the material world and the afterlife. "What James needs to get by them when he dies are passwords — sort of like cheat codes in a video game," Landau said.

"You can see how this is pretty counter-cultural."

Marks and sides, contact and noncontact forces:

The Dermatomes

Invisible region of skin supplied by sensory fibers from a single spinal nerve.

The spinal nerves emerge on each side of the body from the midline(imaginary line that splits the body in two). From these nerves, the dermatomes occur separately in a symmetrical pattern on the right and left sides of the body. The pattern follows the nerve pathways.

Cervical nerves supply the head and upper limbs
Thoracic the trunk and parts of the upper limbs
Lumbosacral nerves supply the pelvis and lower limbs.

A physician can identify the origin of neurological results by patients feelings, like numbness, etc

"A great scientific instrument lies sprawled over the entire surface of the globe. At some period perhaps it was 4,000 years ago almost every corner of the world was visited by a group of men who came with a particular task to accomplish. With the help of some remarkable power, by which they could cut and raise enormous blocks of stone, these men erected vast astronomical instruments, circles of erect pillars, pyramids, underground tunnels, cyclopean alignments, whose course from horizon to horizon was marked by stones, mounds, and earthworks."

It is worth noting that the genetic ‘Adam and Eve’ are not the same as the biblical Adam and Eve. Genetic studies show there was a common ancestor for all men and a common ancestor for women – but these were not the first humans to walk the earth. Really, they were just two out of thousands of people, but they are set apart because their unbroken male or female lineages continue until today. It’s also worth mentioning that it is extremely unlikely the genetic Adam and Eve ever met, let alone mated.

A survey by Pew Research Center in 2009 suggested a smaller number of people believe in ghosts. About 29% of Americans told Pew in 2009 they have felt in touch with a dead person, 18% specifically saying they’ve been in the presence of a ghost. Still, that's significant considering in 1996 only 9% reported interacting with a ghost.
Widening the scope to the supernatural, 65% of Americans told Pew they believe in the supernatural — reincarnation, spiritual energy, yoga as spiritual practice, the “evil eye,” astrology, connecting with the dead, consulting a psychic or experiencing a ghostly encounter. And 49% say they've had "a religious or mystical experience."

Re: Duat do what
China’s Film Bureau doesn’t allow movies with ghosts in them, and certainly not movies that assert they’re “real.”
The intricacies of getting a film approved by the China Film Bureau, an executive branch of the country’s Communist government, are largely unknown to Western audiences. Sometimes it can take months or years to secure a release; many major films have run afoul of unforeseen diplomatic pressures. In 2008, The Dark Knight’s planned rollout in China was cancelled because of “cultural sensitivities” (likely to do with scenes set in Hong Kong involving a money-laundering character), which significantly hampered the film’s worldwide box-office take. But Crimson Peak’s problem is an even bigger one. The Film Bureau objects to films with distinctly spiritual content, because they “promote cults or superstition” in violation of the Communist Party’s secular principles—a major problem for a movie chock-full of ghosts.

There are, apparently, ways around the “no ghosts!” rule. One easy way is to explain that the people seeing visions of the dead were crazy, perhaps, or on drugs. The second Pirates of the Caribbean film, Dead Man’s Chest, was banned in China because it had spirits swarming around, but Disney accordingly made cuts to the Chinese version of the series’ third film, At World’s End, to make it acceptable.

In 1626, a ship filled with folks from the Netherlands put into what would later be called New York Harbor and went about building a Dutch colony called New Amsterdam. The figurehead on the prow of their ship was none other than the patron saint of sailors, Saint Nicholas. The Dutch called him "Sinter Claes." Thus, "Santa Claus" came to the new world.

When an X-ray analysis of King Tutankhamun’s dagger almost a year ago showed that the iron in the ancient legendary blade came from meteorites, many people were impressed with the extraterrestrial material used to create one of the most epic weapons in history. However, a new French study may disappoint you, as it has found that the legendary dagger of King Tutankhamun is not all that special, as most (if not all) iron tools from the Bronze Age most likely have unearthly roots as well.

New analyses of human fossils have pushed back our earliest recognisable modern ancestors to around 310,000 years. And they weren’t found in eastern or southern Africa (like previous fossil finds), but from a site called Jebel Irhoud in Morocco. These findings have raised questions regarding exactly how – and where – we became “modern”........

......Perhaps the most intriguing new evidence comes from the analysis of ancient DNA samples.

These studies are showing that interactions between the “new” humans (Modern Humans like you and me) and the “old” humans (Neanderthals, Denisovans, Homo erectus, Homo florensiensis, that are all now extinct) was not just a case of simple replacement. Instead, it appears that groups of new and old humans intermingled, interbred, fought, and interacted in a multitude of different ways which we are still disentangling.

Re: Duat do what
Agni did come up in a book, The Lost Night
Preface: guys are trying to capture this guy and girl and set fire to their house and they are stuck inside.

"The lights are out but the fire is going strong. I don't want you silhouetted against the shades."

"What are you going to do?"

"Take a look around."

"You are going outside? Are you crazy? If there is someone out there, he might have a gun."

"Believe it or not, that possibility did cross my mind."

"I don't think it is a good idea. You won't be able to see a thing in this storm and if you use a flashlight you'll make a perfect target of yourself."

"I won't need a flashlight."

"Are you saying you can see in the dark?"

"You said you saw my aura, but I never got around to telling you about the nature of my talent."

"No you didn't."

"I told you, I'm one of the monsters. You should of believed me."

The inferno gathered in the house and so she ran toward the kitchen. The roar of the flames leaping down the hallway was louder than the thunder of the storm, a great, insatiable beast that would not be satisfied until it had consumed everything in its path.

She flew into the kitchen and collided with a solid dark shadow.

"Change of plans."

There was something wrong, she thought. She knew he was there. She could hear him and feel the heavy currents of his energy swirling in the kitchen. But she could not see him. The small space was swathed in shadows, but the fire was racing down the hall now, throwing off enough light to reveal a portion of the stove, the counter, and the refrigerator. But she could not see him, who was right there in front of her.

But that was not he worst part of the disorienting experience. It was the terrifying chill that rattled her nerves, the icy sensation coalescing rapidly into a bloodcurdling terror. Mindless panic threatened to overwhelm her. This was what if felt like when the monsters came out from under the bed. This was what if felt like when you were cornered by the creature from the depths of the Obsidian Lagoon. This was the sensation that overwhelmed you when you woke up inside the coffin, the sensation that destroyed sanity, the sensation that make you welcome death....

"Trust me"

It was an order. This was no monster. It was him.

She pulled herself together with an act of will and focused a little talent through her bracelet. His fierce silver and midnight aura blazed reassuringly in the darkness. Her heart was still pounding, but the panic receded quickly. She took a deep breath.

"Okay. I'm okay. What did you do? You were invisible except your aura. And the cold sensation-"

"I'm still invisible and so are you as long as we stay in physical contact. The bastards outside will be watching both doors but they won't be able to see us."

Meteoric iron, sometimes meteoritic iron,[1] is a native metal found in meteorites and made from the elements iron and nickel mainly in the form of the mineral phases kamacite and taenite. Meteoric iron makes up the bulk of iron meteorites but is also found in other meteorites. Apart from minor amounts of telluric iron, meteoric iron is the only naturally occurring native metal of the element iron on the Earth's surface.

From link:

Adam’s identity was discovered through the analysis of the Y chromosome. This is a set of genes passed down nearly intact from father to son, meaning mutations present in the chromosome can be used to trace back the male lineage to the father of all men. David Poznik has explained that the term ‘Genetic Adam’ is misleading, however, because this ancestral man was not solitary – other men also existed during his time, their Y chromosomes were just lost over time as their male lineages died out.

The results of this study also contradict claims that the human Y chromosome originated in a different species which came about through interbreeding. The findings show that 'Adam's’ existence was in the same timeframe as 'Eve's.’ As Dr. Elhaik said,

“It is obvious that modern humans did not interbreed with hominins living over 500,000 years ago. It is also clear that there was no single 'Adam' and 'Eve' but rather groups of 'Adams and Eves' living side by side and wandering together in our world.”

Interestingly, recessive genes are more common, like 5 fingers, than dominant genes of 6.

Jing ( essence) should not be confused with the related concept of jìn ( power), nor with jing ( classic/warp), which appears in many early Chinese book titles, such as the Nèi Jing, yì jing and Chá Jing, the fundamental text on all the knowledge associated with tea.[2]

The characteristics which constitute signs of good Jing (e.g. facial structure, teeth, hair, strength of adrenals or kidneys) share the embryological origin of neural crest cells. These cells undergo immense and challenging cellular migrations requiring great organisation. As such, Jing may simply represent the strength of embryological self-organisation in the organism. This will be manifestated most strongly in those cells which require most organisation; that is, the neural crest cells.

After being canceled on June 1 after two seasons, there were rumblings of a series finale that would wrap up the series with a feature-length finale about the cluster of 8 people across the globe who are connected by thoughts and actions.

Fans should rest a little easier now because based on the video above, the finale is definitely happening.

That is nice they listened to the fans for last season. They did that for Roswell.

Agree. It was left completely open-ended. A lot left unexplained. Hoping for a proper wrap up of what happens to the Sensates.

After Whispers is dealt with, I imagine they will just learn to blend back in with everyone else. Hiding in plain sight.

I find it really interesting there is a pagan festival that gathers where iron is in high abundance. Iron in the blood and rock with folklore saying it repels. The singing bowls is said to be best when made with rock iron from the sky/space.
