When people used rivers to navigate around, they found that in some parts of the rivers the flatboats either wrecked or got stuck. Canals built often failed in many parts. It was when electricity came up utilizing dams did they realize that the flooding of certain areas helped in navigation as well as technology. The odd part was that the dams being utilized were caused by war. That is the old way of going forwards(transition time) as it worked after cataclysms. But now we have come to a time where we have move past that.

An atmospheric river is a narrow corridor or filament of concentrated moisture in the atmosphere. Atmospheric rivers consist of narrow bands of enhanced water vapor transport, typically along the boundaries between large areas of divergent surface air flow, including some frontal zones in association with extratropical cyclones that form over the oceans.[1][2][3][4] Pineapple Express storms are the most commonly represented and recognized type of atmospheric rivers; they are given the name due to the warm water vapor plumes originating over the Hawaiian tropics that follow a path towards California.

“The Cherokees have lived in the Southeastern United States for over 10,000 years.Cherokees developedand cultivated corn, beans and squash – “the three sisters” – along with sunflowers and other crops.

Archaeological evidence, early written accounts, and the oral history ofthe Cherokees themselves show the Cherokees as a mighty nation controlling more than 140,000 square miles with a population of thirty-six thousand or more. Often the townhouse stood on an earthen mound, which grew with successive ceremonial re-buildings.”

New heat-resistant ceramic can be squished like a marshmallow

It’s light enough to balance on a fuzzy blade of grass, incredibly heat-resistant, and can be squished like a marshmallow. It’s also a ceramic.

Still, this new material sets itself apart. It's super lightweight, thanks to tiny nanofibers of ceramic spun together into a sponge. Instead costlier, more time-consuming methods like 3D-printing or electrospinning, researchers at China’s Tsinghua University developed a method of production called solution blow-spinning. How it works: ceramic solution is blasted out of a tiny nozzle into a spinning cage, where it accumulates like thin threads of cotton candy. The resulting product is light and fluffy, and looks like a cotton ball. Or a marshmallow.

When you squeeze the ceramic, instead of staying rigid or breaking, it squishes down and then rebounds back to something resembling its original form.

Ancient Sloth and Bison Fossils Turn Up in LA Metro Dig

It's been around 11,000 years since giant ground sloths roamed North America, but evidence of one of them recently surfaced in Los Angeles, during excavation for a transit project managed by the LA County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Fossils from a giant sloth and a bison were unearthed on May 16 in a layer of sandy clay about 16 feet (5 meters) below Crenshaw Boulevard between 63rd Street and Hyde Park Boulevard, according to a post published online May 31 by The Source, a blog about the LA Metro.

Can make an authentic horse neighing sound out of the erhu, lol

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

The Erhu consists of a long vertical stick-like neck, at the top of which are two large tuning pegs, and at the bottom is a small resonator body (sound box) which is covered with python skin on the front (playing) end. Two strings are attached from the pegs to the base, and a small loop of string (Qian Jin) placed around the neck and strings acting as a nut pulls the strings towards the skin, holding a small wooden bridge in place.

The Five Barbarians or Wu Hu, is a Chinese historical exonym for ancient non-Han Chinese peoples who immigrated to northern China in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and then overthrew the Western Jin Dynasty and established their own kingdoms in the 4th–5th centuries.[1][2][3][4] The peoples categorized as the Five Barbarians were the Xiongnu, Jie, Xianbei, Di, and Qiang.[1][3] Of these five ethnic groups, the Xiongnu and Xianbei were nomadic peoples from the northern steppes. The ethnic identity of the Xiongnu is uncertain, but the Xianbei appear to have been Mongolic. The Jie, another pastoral people, may have been a branch of the Xiongnu, who may have been Yeniseian[5] or Indo-Scythian.[6] The Di and Qiang were from the highlands of western China.[1] The Qiang were predominantly herdsmen and spoke Sino-Tibetan (Tibeto-Burman) languages, while the Di were farmers who may have spoken a Sino-Tibetan[7] or Turkic language.

How We Caught A Black Hole Emitting Intense Wind

Rare glimpse

The results, which have just been published in Nature, are surprising. They show a powerful wind of hydrogen and helium emanating from the black hole and travelling at a mind-boggling speed of 3,000 kilometres a second. Formed in the outer layers of the accretion disc, this wind has to move quickly to be able to escape from the immense gravitational field surrounding the black hole.

The wind is likely driven by the X-rays created in the outburst heating the disc surface to high enough temperatures to escape the disc’s gravity and flow outwards. It is thanks to the high resolution provided by the CANARIAS telescope’s huge aperture that we were able to link this wind with the X-ray flare. And while radio jets accelerated by processes around the black hole itself have been seen in these X-ray outbursts before (including V404 Cyg), this was the first time we had seen a strong wind blown off the outer accretion disc.

Thoughts on spark of life of gaia. The season of fertility is the shifting of satan in a way, from darkness to light, guardian(dark) to lovespark(light). They say that one of the ultimate things of achievement is to create light 'out of darkness'. Has to do with venus and some other stuff. And guardian means spiritual technology. If you get too close to something that is guarded, it will guard in any way necessary to keep one away which causes one to move away until ready or to keep away for good. That is what I have come across with things. And satan is a guard. Guard of gaia. A shapeshifter from dark to shining.

The maid of the mist and apep stories are similar telling of the shifting union of dark to light of how the egg and sperm meet or universe. It also has to do with the scarab emblem as that creates the larva worm of mortal mind binding the immortal mind in persistent memory.

I-ching is based on a set of binary mathematical permutations. Comprising of combinations of 8 symbols(trigrams) of 3 lines, broken or unbroken. By doubling the trigrams, the permutations yield 64 more complex symbols of 6 lines each(hexagrams)

Mayan number harmonics(2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64) is what it underlies-pure progression.

The Tzolkin is based on permutations of 13 numbers and 20 symbols which yield a possibility of 260 permutations.

Both are considered timeless. Both have been renewed as use as an oracle(So many things could be said about that, lol, double split for one)

DNA possesses a vibratory infrastructure that parallels the molecular structure. Basically saying the Tzolkin is to the Iching what light is to life.

It is said there appears to be use of a 260 and 360 unit calendar cycles that do not correspond in any precise way to perceivable astronomical or organic planetary cycles. Some say it is actually fractal indices of the galactic harmonic.

260 being an overtone of 26 or 2 x 13 (galactic constant)
360 being overtone of 36 or 2 x 18, 4 x 9 (harmonic calibrator)
Key Mayan factors, 4, 9, 13

260 being constant because of the ceaseless round permutations generated by 13 numbers and 20 directional positions(possibilities being from wave frequencies to archetypes)

360 being harmonic calibrator by virtue is being a multiple of 9, its representation of the number of degrees in a circle, and approx. the 365 solar year days.

I'm going crazy! I can feel it.
There's something not right with him, and I don't know how to explain it, but I just I just know.

The bond between parent and child is like that.
It's I guess it's like entanglement.
(exhales sharply) The conference room! Tell everyone! Please.
Quantum disentanglement? Yeah! So, what do we know? Our quantum computer's entangled with Stinger's quantum computer.
They are bonded without being physically connected, like the bond between a child and their parent.
Now, if we could just figure out how to disentangle them, then we could take back full control of Kirsten's Stitch.
Yeah, but we've been through this.
We don't know where Stinger moved his computer.
It doesn't matter! It could be a mile away, a hundred miles away.
It could be in the next room! Entanglement is not dependent on proximity.
What we need to figure out is the trigger Stinger used to entangle Kirsten.
Linus is right.
We don't need to know where he is.
We need to know how he did it.
How do we do that without Stinger? His daughter, Ivy.
I think she knows something.
No.
We already questioned her.
We even hooked her up to a polygraph.
She doesn't know anything.
Well, maybe you geniuses didn't ask her the right questions.

And yes I know what quantum computers are, and how entanglement triggers work.
Now, what is this really all about?

Hijacking the hijacked signal does make sense.
You've already done that.
It didn't work.
Not hijacking the anomaly's signal.
Hijacking Kirsten's mother.
That's not a signal.
That's a memory.
Well, it's the same thing, sort of.
Kirsten's emotional state is what's keeping the entanglement active.
If we can isolate Kirsten's memory of Jacqueline Stinger, we can manipulate it.
Force a disentanglement trigger to make her bounce.
So, you're gonna save Kirsten with an idea you got from the daughter of the guy who trapped her.
Do you want Kirsten out of here or not? Because this gamble's all the gamble I got.

I am preparing a new, more trustworthy team for you, so the work of the Stitchers Program will continue.
No, it won't, not without me.
Seriously? (scoffs) This again? All right.
Come with me.
I would've thought you'd be ready for a change in your team, considering how Goodkin used your mother's memory against you.
Well, it worked, didn't it? It got me to bounce.
Well, but at what cost? Hmm? How will you remember your mother now? How will you react to her when you are reunited? Yeah.
Reunited.
- You know where she is.
- I do.
Someplace safe.
- I want the truth.
- That is the truth.
Trust me, the NSA needs her hale and hearty as badly as you do.
(sighs) Please.
(clears throat) The lab accident that happened to your mother, the one when you were eight years old, do you have any idea what she was working on? - Project Grasshopper.
- Yeah, that's the name.
But its purpose? No? Well, Project Grasshopper's goal was to accelerate the evolution of the human brain.
You can't speed up evolution.
Yes, you can.
Why would anyone want to? Well, imagine if world leaders knew instantly what other world leaders felt and thought? If they could immediately intuit the wants, needs, fears, desires of their counterparts.
You tell me.
What would that mean? - The end of conflict? - Yes.
The end of war.
Hunger, poverty, pretty much all the bad stuff that keeps nice people, like me, up at night.
Project Grasshopper was a failure.
Ah! That depends on who you ask.
The lab accident accelerated your mother's brain.
She evolved in ways more complex than we understand.
We tried to recreate it, and we failed, and that is why we need to keep your mother safe.
So that after Stitching technology is perfected, we can Stitch into her living, evolved brain and map it completely, every neuron, until we understand her completely.
We're saving the world, Miss Clark.
- Our cases are training missions? - Yes! Designed to teach us everything there is to know about Stitching.
And when we are done When we are done you get to complete the rescue mission you started with your father all those years ago and finally pull your mother out of her endless sleep.
Oh, suddenly, I'm not such a bad guy, am I? Your mother's alive and well.
One day, you'll be reunited with her, but not if you quit the program.
- I can't do it without my team! - Yes, you can! They're very, very smart people, sure, but they are just people.
You will stay with the program if you want to save your mother, Miss Clark.
