There is no separate Hebrew word for “rainbow.” The word is simply “bow,” which refers to a weapon, a bow that goes with arrows. This is what the word means in most of its uses in the OT. Yahweh has a bow in this sense (Psalm 7:12), with which He makes war against His enemies. This means that when Yahweh puts His bow in the sky, He is hanging up His weapon of war against the wicked. A bow in the sky means peace, means that Yahweh is not going to make war anymore. Read more at [link to www.patheos.com] |

I was pulling the slide instead of pushing with my dominant hand. Quoting: Seer777 Can confirm. Does work.. You Can Rack A Slide. It’s Technique, not Strength. If I had a dollar for every time I heard, “I can’t rack the slide. It’s too hard,” I’d probably have a condo in the Keys. In fact, when I started shooting, I thought I wasn’t able to operate all semi-automatic handguns either. Believe me, ladies; I understand your slide intimidation. However, have no fear! Regardless of what you may think, it is not your strength or lack thereof that enables you to rack a slide properly—it’s learning the correct technique. Step 5: With as much force as you can muster, PUSH the gun forward with your dominant hand, keeping a firm grip on the top of the slide. You want this motion to be as smooth as possible. [link to blog.cheaperthandirt.com] After some practice yesterday, I can now confidently say I can rack the slide of the Glock 19, with no problems. Funny how something as simple as the push versus pull, made all the difference. Thanks for the push. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

Maybe instead of debating about banning specific guns as a nation, maybe we should instead think more about including 'mandatory training' with gun purchase.. Even those very familiar with a weapons in combat training, still make mistakes. Like I was shown earlier a major mistake people make with a 'locked and loaded' hand gun, is not dropping the clip, FIRST, then unchambering the bullet. Other way around chambers another round. Little things like that, leads to unintentional deaths and/or injuries. Hollywood further exacerbated the issue showing no 'TRIGGER DISCIPLINE' when holding a weapon. The reason I didn't want to touch the gun, was because I couldn't eject the chambered bullet with the improper technique I was using. Hope that make sense.
