Science calls it ether and says it has elastic properties. Interestingly, iron interferes with the magnetic property and many old buildings have iron nails and iron in red brick. Quoting: Fancypantz This is going to go with the wind topic of velocity because many scientists believe the ether to be fixed and what moves within it to be a fixed velocity. But this is based on the sun being fixed and the planets moving around it. Some say the sun is helical moving through the universe with orbiting planets with them. I don't think either of those are correct, but will see, lol What causes things to be heavy? Birds say leave the heavy behind, lol Goes with ferro nano iron. All humans have a nearly identical DNA sequence that will, on average, match at about 99.9% of locations. This is similar to how the story of the Bigfoot is almost identical to the Nuk-luk with just a few details differing. Inside each of us, there are two sets of DNA—one from each biological parent. Each set is nearly identical except for subtle differences. Before your DNA can be passed onto the next generation, it will go through the process of recombination. This is where the two sets of DNA line up next to one another and randomly swap similar segments of DNA. In terms of the urban legend, recombination is like the Bigfoot’s height being swapped with the Nuk-luk’s. The end result is a hybrid DNA sequence that contains segments of DNA from each of your biological parents. This DNA swap can happen in most parts of the genome (with some exceptions), and contributes to maintaining genetic diversity within the human population. The second concept demonstrated is linkage disequilibrium (LD). Though the name is a bit intimidating, the concept is fairly simple: LD is where two or more segments of DNA tend to be inherited together because they are commonly found together within the population1 Why does all of this matter? Understanding how often recombination takes place, and the statistical likelihood of two genes being seperated, can help us look back in time. About 100,000 years ago, there was more than one type of human walking around on the planet2. Short and stocky humans known as Neanderthals and Denisovans were occupying the Eurasian continent. Researchers have determined that Neanderthal and Denisovan DNA entered the genome of Homo sapiens sometime between 40,000 and 65,000 years ago. This provides evidence to suggest that some Neanderthals may have been absorbed into Homo sapiens culture and that warfare is likely not the whole story behind their disappearance. |

Chan School of Public Health. The study, published Oct. 26 online in Cell Metabolism, sheds light on the basic biology involved in cells’ declining ability to process energy over time, which leads to aging and age-related disease, and how interventions such as periods of fasting might promote healthy aging. Mitochondria — the energy-producing structures in cells — exist in networks that dynamically change shape according to energy demand. Their capacity to do so declines with age, but the impact this has on metabolism and cellular function was previously unclear. In this study, the researchers showed a causal link between dynamic changes in the shapes of mitochondrial networks and longevity. |
Fancypantz (OP) User ID: 73145025 United States 07/23/2018 10:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.newsweek.com (secure)] In cells, 90 percent of the chemical energy cells use to survive is created by the mitochondria. As humans age, their mitochondrial function declines. This can cause many symptoms of growing older, like wrinkles and hair loss. When mitochondrial DNA is lost, scientists think it can cause diseases like cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and neurological disorders that stem from age. The scientists activated a mutation in the mice that caused their mitochondrial function to decline, just like it does in humans when they age. In just four weeks, the mice started losing hair, showing gray hair and became lethargic. Between four and eight weeks, the mice developed wrinkled skin. The female mice had more severe wrinkles than the male mice. The wrinkles were similar to both intrinsic aging, or the natural process of aging, as well as extrinsic aging, like from smoking or sun exposure. When the scientists turned off the mutation, the wrinkled skin and hair loss reversed. The mice returned back to their original appearance and mitochondrial function returned. |
