The woman in charge of the video survey of la promenade des anglais said she has been strongly asked by the minister of interior (police)to rewrite her first technical report because she said NOT ONE POLICEMAN was present during the attack... Only city police, light weaponed... She's been ordered to write there were the police present... She refused...

Futhermore, the attorney asked all the videos of the attack to be suppressed...

1332 outraged comments on le figaro after this news is the record... French are close to uprising...

The scandal is huge !

NICE REJECTS POLICE REQUEST
TO WIPE CCTV FOOTAGE
OF BASTILLE DAY ATTACK
AS ROW OVER SECURITY FAILINGS DEEPENS

The Right-wing town hall of the Riviera city said it received a letter this week from the anti-terrorism agency ordering it to destroy images of the July 14 attack, when Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel drove his truck into the crowds.

But it said it has refused and has filed a legal complaint instead, arguing that the images could constitute evidence in the case, said the official, who is not authorised to be publicly named.

The letter did not provide a reason for the request, the city official said, but Le Figaro newspaper said national police are concerned that the images would leak out and be used for jihadist propaganda.

The request came as the government faces growing criticism over security measures the night of the attack, and the cameras could show where and how police were deployed

Since November the authorities have had emergency powers
to carry out searches by day or night
and place people under house arrest.
