I knew of a nun that teached kindergardeners.

On the first day of school she used to gathered all the children and telll them:
"Now you are big, you all should know that SantaClause is your parents"

The children were more than most always in shock.
some crying and running to tell their parents at the end of the day.

Was the nun telling a lie?
Was the nun wicked?

No & Yes.

Everything can be explained to anyone using the appropriate language that matches a given age and capacity to understanding. As a general rule you are better of saying what others are ready to comprehend.

Most of the problems of the world are the lies that have been told to people and the lies that they use to reConvince themselves of them. Creating a vicious circle of mind.

Othertimes, stories are just metaphors/allegories to keep a mystery safe.
Those are eventually known, by some early, by others later. Always known.

So, some things are better not told, but shown & then comprehend from within.
Good questions are key. They are not an obnoxious way to people just "not tell", but to show that you have done your own homework, and are ready to learn something new or different. They show an open mind willing to analyze, while also showing the "direction" that mind is willing to go and the current "stone on their shoe" they are struggling with at the moment.

There is a reason, Prometheus gifted fire, just to watch the wrath of the gods on him. If I teach you about your innate power, you could comprehend and grow with it, or you could avert and leash out against the messenger. Both powerful responses by the precise fact, of your innate power.

Doves & crows grow out from the same information.

Nevertheless, you can tell anyone anything.
Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter.

As a very sharp digital friend says,
...AnyWay.
