First of all, I am a big believer in an open and free press. I feel that GLP, like no other site, affords this freedom. Having been a one-time PayPal client, cannot justify supporting them, which I would have to do, in order to donate to GLP. So.. my subscription has run out. There are many moral and ethical reasons not to support PayPal, not the least of these is their refusal to allow gun purchases using their service. But the reason I will not use them is that they gave my email address to someone who immediately sold it to a listmaker. I don't want anyone to boycott GLP. I just want a payment alternative and I will re-up (as we say in the Ed. Biz) immediately. Until then, I guess I'll just have to be a silent observer, which is odious to me, but bearable. I made purchases but never more than $50/00. I had problems with sellers. Long time ago, it was hard to settle the issue and get your money back. About two months ago I made a purchase that didn't fit, when I notified the seller, they told me to return it and they paid for the return postage. All I had to do was to print it and attach it to the box. Took it to USPS. No problem. 2 weeks later they reminded me that they deposited my money back into my account. I was amazed. They never sold my information to anybody. Their data base were hacked one time and I don't remember what transpired. May be you think they sold your information. But I can assure you based on my experience that they wouldn't do it. I received some emails that looked like as if Paypal send it to me. I don't respond to those kind of emails. As I am aware the senders embed viruses. Please talk to people that are good with computers before you accuse Paypal.
