Shouldn't Prez candidates be required to first undergo physical and mental health exams before running for and then assuming Office?!

At a minimum they should all be psych evalled to weed out megalomaniacal maniacs, but that would pretty much disqualify most candidates.

It reminds me of a funny statement I read years ago about Gandhi. Some British viceroy asked him, "So, Mahatmaji, what does your Grace think about Western culture?"

To which he quickly replied: "Yes, my Lord, I think it's a very good idea!"

Forgive me - but it was "what do you think about Western civilization?"

The nuance is important: Gandhi was politely and slyly suggesting (rather accurately IMHO) that there wasn't any civilization yet in the West.

What we need is (a) an honest press (we need to push for laws to eliminate the Federal Communications Commission because it is the government that controls who can and cannot have a license to broadcast, which creates an oligopoly of the press), and (b) real accountability of those who are elected (we should be pushing for enforcement of the 10th Amendment and repeal of the 17th Amendment).
