So you dislike the dude And therefore its ok for him to have his 1st amendment rights violated? Well fuck man, then you are no better than the rest of them out there like BLM. If this was REALLY about anti-defamation then they would be trying to figure out how much money was lost or not by the individual claiming the lawsuit and not worrying about whether or not what was said is true or not.

And certainly you would NEVER ask a reporter to divulge his sources... Ever. So yeah, call him what you want, but how long before this precedent being set destroys alternative news media on the web? The same alternative news media we rely on for truth in this day and age? And how about when they push it all the way to websites like GLP?

I mean, someone writes a conspiracy theory post about some mainstream dude on here and then that dude sues GLP who must now reveal your identity so you can also be sued for an opinion post you wrote.

Yeah. Go ahead and cheer because you hate Beck. Ignore what is really happening here and cheer the elite on while they destroy the 1st amendment right in front of your eyes. Just because you hate the dude they are doing it to.

A federal judge has ordered talk show host Glenn Beck to name two sources he used in his Boston Marathon bombing reports. (Source: CNN)

(CNN) - A federal judge on Tuesday ordered talk show host Glenn Beck to name two confidential sources he used in his Boston Marathon bombing reports.

He is being sued for defamation for comments he made about a man who he said helped financed and orchestrate the attack.

The man, who was injured in the attack, was initially named a person of interest.

Judge Patti Saris said the court cannot determine whether Beck is liable for defamation unless he unveils the identity of two "confidential government sources" he says told him 23-year-old Abdulrahman Alharbi was involved in the 2013 Boston Marathon terrorist attack.

Though Alharbi was initially named a "person of interest" in the attack, authorities cleared his name. But Beck continued to report that Alharbi was involved.

Journalists typically withhold the names of confidential sources -- even in the courtroom -- in the interest of protecting people who offer valuable information.

The court may choose to keep the yet-to-be-named sources under a protective order. Beck may be forced to disclose the name of a third source if that person also said Alharbi was financially linked to the Boston Marathon attack.

The Irony of all of this Glenn Beck hate on GLP is that the same GLP "entertainers" or "reporters" could be next!

Personally I believe Beck was poisoned into losing his mind.

I stopped supporting him but I truly think he has suffered physically from his enemies. (all speculation on my part)

While I'm not a current fan of Glens I hope he digs in on this freedom of press issue.

I can't believe he would have just made this whole story up...that's what libs do.

As an aside it just disgusts me that our courts have become puppets of the Saudis...

...because it was they, the Saudis that financed the 911 attacks.

The Obamas got him out of the Country and back to Saudi Arabia too soon. They were all over him, and did not even allow him to be questioned.

This is a very important case, and the results will stay with this Country forever. I am going to be vigilant on the outcome of this. I am praying for Glenn to keep it together.

You know I remember when this happened. I do not believe Beck clearly identified this guy as committing the crime. While I do not like Beck, I remember he made the connection that the saudi was originally detained for questioning, his family was on the terror watch list, and i believe the first lady visited him in the hospital. he was quickly whisked out of the country (similar to 9.11) without any question. I believe Beck was trying to assert why was there no additional scrutiny on this guy.

Years ago a woman with two small children went to jail rather than reveal her sources.

Think she's an "analyst" on one of the cable outfits now.

Wasn't this the show where he implicated the ssaudi's but you had to read between the lines and then he said he'd be back the next show with tons of information and never mentioned it again? Everyone always criticizes him about never mentioning it again.

If beck reveals his sources, won't that change the cases where whistle blowers are involved?

He has got to do the right thing, and he must lose everything and go to jail. If he reveals his sources he is a self-righteous hypocrite who will change journalism for the worse, and it can never be recovered.
