How can we get to know the Lord?
How can we know the Lord, unless we spend time with Him? We must keep the Lord's Sabbath, (Friday Sunset to Saturday Sunset), and not just a few hours on Sunday (not His Sabbath) to get to know Him. If we say we know Him, yet don't keep His commandments, including His Sabbath, we are liars, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Ezekiel 20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

Ezekiel 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

Re: How can we get to know the Lord?
what a dumb thread.... how to get to know the lord??????

same way you get to know any made up imaginary friend... you talk to it. so people think you are crazy.

think about this... your god created adam and eve... 2 people... thats it
some how these 2 people made millions of others, while only having 2 kids... both boys.
then god killed everyone but noah and his family.
again... we ended up with 7 billion people in 5 thousand years according to your book.

have you ever seen what happens when mother and son make babies?????
have you ever heard of genetics?> the people who wrote the bible didnt.
time to rethink your religion.

This is not correct on the sixth day of creation, God created male and female. On the seventh day God rested. On the eighth day God saw He had no one to til the land so He created Adam and from Adam Eve.

The Bible does not say that. On the sixth day God created Adam and Eve. In Genesis 2, it establishes what happened on the 6th Day, when speaking of Adam and Eve.

Look inside yourself, it is where he hid himself.
Don't look to worldly things of stone and wood.

We certainly shouldn't look to self, to know the Lord, but look to the LORD to know Him. By beholding we become changed. And if we are constantly looking at man, instead of God, it is in the fallen image of man that we shall be made into.

The good and the bad are inside every single little thing ever to exist.
The Creator gave you the choice, to choose between the good or the bad of it.
If you had a scale, and you put 50% bad on one side, and 50% good on the other, what would you have?
An even scale?

Depends on what you're trying to say. One sin is enough to warrant eternal death. So one sin, brings death. Imperfection is unacceptable. God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. We therefore have to become children of the light, and be changed into His image, to walk in His ways, and not in any of the ways of darkness.

There is good, and bad, inside everyone of us. Howbeit, Jesus did no sin, and neither was there sin in Him. Nothing about Him responded to Satan's temptations. No wickedness could be found in Jesus.

We must behold the Light then, Jesus Christ, who is the true Light, and the true Light which lights every man that is born into this world. We cannot behold darkness constantly, and expect to be changed into children of The Light.

No it doesn't.
It depends on how much of a wordsmith you are trying to be.

I couldn't grasp what you were trying to say, at all, but I just went with whatever clues came to mind.

In Isaiah, it says God won't hear people's prayers until they started helping those in need, the orphans and widows.

Jesus says (Math 25:31 - 46) that those who have eternal life, are those who feed and clothed those in need.

Re: How can we get to know the Lord?
God gave us the Sabbath as a blessing. We lost that blessing long ago.

for all you know the sabbath could be Wednesday to Thursday, the only way to know when the true sabbath is is to know when the first day was and I don't think thats possible at the moment.

pick a day if your right then lucky you, if your wrong then thats a weekly sin you must repent for.

Why does no one apply that same logic to the resurrection Sunday? The Bible nowhere says Sunday is the first day of the week, but that's the day they choose to "weekly celebrate". Behold, it is taught that Jesus resurrected on Sunday. So, if I can't know when the Sabbath is, how can anyone know which day the resurrection is? They can't. But the day of the resurrection is known, and so the day of the Sabbath is plainly known.

Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

Matthew 28:1-2 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

Jesus died on Friday, rested in the grave on Sabbath, then arose to do His work as the risen Saviour on the first day of the week. There is no disputing these facts.
