I feel badly for many in the LBGT community, it has to be a very difficult road. I don't fully understand how homosexuality happens, but the stat on how many were molested is revealing. I think because of that, some have had their sexuality hijacked at a young age and it introduced ideas not their own and short-circuited things. (That preacher, Ted Haggard comes to mind.)

If you have a young person or child who is starving for affection, then someone comes along and molests them, it's going to cause all kinds of confusion and cognitive dissonance.

I have compassion and empathy for those who truly feel its not a choice and I believe, though not absolutely proven, that some don't have a choice. I've worked with and known people of the different persuasions, and in my personal experience I concede that I've found the majority to be mentally unstable in one way or another. Keep in mind this is my opinion based on my own experience and interactions.

I've known 2 people who've gone through the works. Women who were once men. One of them I considered a very good friend for many years until we lost contact. Both of these people had issues with their fathers, very big bad issues.

Oh yeah, one became a woman only to then identify as a lesbian. I attended to her not legally recognised union, and they seemed happy enough.

I've also known someone who was born with both male and female organs. in infancy, after receiving advice, the chosen sex was made female and the male genitalia was removed. The child grew and once an adult went through gender reassignment to become a male. I can honestly say this guy was an incredibly stable and mentally strong person.

I've known homosexuals who I believe had no choice who I think are pretty comfortable in their own skin and flat out don't give a shit who thinks what of them, and to me appear stable. Then there's those who I suspect made a choice, but I don't see as stable. Is it only me who's picked up on this kind of pattern?
