When do you pin and unpin a thread?
I have only 1 pin to date that I know of but mostly because I have become a lurker. My question to the mods is do you pin your own threads or do you exspect another mod tp pin your most excellent thread. Who makes the decision to unpin a thread.What motovates you to pin in the first place? My guess is it is ultimatly Trinity's call, at least to unpin. There sure were a lot of pinned threads today, what a gas!

Just be zen with the pins. Do not try to understand. Just experience it.
Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

_____________

The only difference between the Republican and Democratic parties is the velocities with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock on their door. That's the only difference.

I believe I can see the future, 'cause I repeat the same routine. I think I used to have a purpose, but then again, it might have been a dream

Ok fair enough but what lights your fire that makes you want to pin?
There have been some outstanding threads and there have been crap threads and threads inbetween. This threads ahead or this thread is dead.

There was an 8.0 earthquake in Uzbekistan about 2 hours ago. Let's see if there will be more. So far no info on possible damages/casualties.
 Quoting: Carlos

Ok Heidy I'm pretty sure you pinned this one and for good reason an 8.0 is significant!

Re: When do you pin and unpin a thread?
To pin, or not to pin: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of Anonymous Cowards,
And by opposing A/C's ? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub; Pin this pin that Moderator Avatar nor A/C Pinned
Only rebuke is mine own contemplation!

Re: When do you pin and unpin a thread?
Simple.

If your Nancy Lieder you get a pin.

If you are a mod or know a mod you get a pin.

If you post an interesting article about gas leaks at your home after eating Pizza, Doritos and drinking beer the thread does not get pinned, it gets deleted.
