It's quite possible that we are the stewards of this planet, and the moon keeps us from "migrating" away from it upon physical death.
I'm completely okay with calling this my home and defending it for eternity from monsters. Clearly there are some bad entities here.
Either, we're going to eradicate the cancer, or we're all going to perish in the process. There is no escaping this place alive / alone. We are a package deal.
We all ascend, or get recycled.
Anyone ever get "propositioned" to leave this place for good? If you have, you know what I'm talking about.
