Patricia was first classified a tropical depression on October 20.
and Patricia grew from a tropical storm to a Category 5 hurricane in just 24 hours—a near-record pace.

Very good point. There is definitely a good bit of convection wrapping around the center now. Not sure if the westerly winds have lessen, but eagerly anticipating the next vortex message to see if the pressure has significantly dropped below the current 991mb.

Here in Tampa... Breeze is starting to pick up a little. Overcast with some thunder off in the distance. rain bands getting close.
