i have a very friendly sweet dog that has shown me many times as a puppy that she will interpret a certain style of dog play as an attack and respond as if attacked. After spending a year taking dog training classes, the teacher just said, No off leash dog park, ever. I am pretty sure she would get herself killed if I took her to a place with a bunch of strange dogs and let her loose. It would scare the crap out of her and she would feel she had to defend herself. SO, on the street I just would never ask someone, is your dog friendly? and let them interact. I know my dog may not like the dog.

I tell you all that history and add that I am talking about a 20 lb dog that is not going to do the kind of damage a husky or a pit bull can.You need to be the protector of your dog and not allow them to get in a situation like that.

So because you brought out your husky to play and the dogs got hurt I guess if you had not brought out your dog it all would have been ok. I dont know where they should expect you to pay it all! You asked and they said ok. So I dont know, maybe offer them some of the money as a gesture of being sorry it happened and you will probably see them again and not have an enemy. Jeez. If I saw a husky meeting 2 pit bulls I would be wary of being near. After what happened I hope you are more careful in having a more controlled meet and greet for new dogs to get acquainted with each other. If a dog is uncomfortable they need to be able to leave the situation safely. Keep your dog safe and dont put her/him in harms way.Dont believe people when they say their dog is friendly or whatever. Most people have zero control or understanding of their dog. Because I have such a sensitive dog I have become hyper aware of this ( I used to have a more chill dog who would just lift a lip if a dog gave him a bad vibe and nothing would ever happen)I guess now I have to be the lip lifter to create a safe space and people are really rude about letting their off leash dogs ruin all the regular parks for people with leashed dogs. It sucks so please dont bully leashed dogs by letting your husky off leash in a leashed park. I know you didnt say you did that but I just added my own problem here at the end:)

STILL DETRIMENTAL RELiIANCe

no one can determine what any animal will do at any time.\

My ex husb used to deliver furniture and one customer said "o the dog is fine, just don't look him in the eye"
WRONG....SAME rule applies, you said it was ok and you were wrong and now you will pay (and we're talking about a 175lb bull mastiff)

its like if you motion someone to pull out into traffic and they get hit
you will most l;likely share SOME responsibility because you motioned to them that it was ok to pull out and you were wrong.
