That means both lines.. Galatians 3:28 says: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. It says very plainly that there is now only one, the believer in Jesus Christ whether he was prior to this point a Jew or not. God's Chosen People are those who love his son and those people are Christians. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3947644 Peter is addressing all followers of Christ whether they be Jew or Gentile. These would be the first Christians. This article explains this verse. [link to jehovah.to] In the New Testament we are told that God's Chosen people have their father and that those who do not believe in his only begotten son do not have God's blessing or attention. 1 John 2:23 says: No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. When you hear others speak of God's chosen know that the legitimate chosen are only Christians in God's eye. zactly!! J 17:15: "I pray not that Thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldst keep them from the evil. Truth, beauty and virtue ... all the things that THEY hate. All the things God loves. |

When you hear others speak of God's chosen know that the legitimate chosen are only Christians in God's eye. False. First of all, you have to know who Peter really is addressing to: 1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, The greek work for strangers mean: "one who comes from a foreign country into a city or land to reside there by the side of the natives" Who is a stranger scattered in "Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia," obviously not natives (gentiles). Moreover in a next verse at 1 Peter 2:12 it says: 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. The people of God clearly are the jews, always have been. Gentiles are one with the jews in the question of salvation, but they are not jews. The term "people of God" in the bible are jews only. |
