False Idols - Why do we people still worship them?

We were told not to worship false idols. All material Idols are actually false being that your creator is energy. Yet today we have people still worshiping false idols such as flags of a country in which they devote their allegiance to and worship it more than their creator. Are you all under a satanic spell of sorts? Are you conscious and realize what you're actually doing when you worship these idols? The false idol list goes on and on. Idols - [link to www.dictionary.com] To include Logos and brand names Actors and Musicians etc... You get the point. So, when will you start awakening to the fact that all of these things are false idols, and stop worshiping them? Are the NFL athletes protesting the allegiance to a false idol really doing wrong? Knowing not to follow false idols goes beyond any bible in our time.
