Scammer just called me....

You probably made Rajesh er I mean Michael in India lose his job. Lol.

Although they plainly state that "this is our LAST AND ONLY warning," I've received that call three times from 3 different numbers. Maybe the IRS should keep a log or something. They really need to get their shit together.

Yeah fuck them, I have four phone numbers and I've been sued by the IRS about a thousand times...

Lol yes, I have also received multiple calls from various states with the message and usually ignore it but this time I figured I'd call back and talk to a person....when I did the first time he hung up and after talking to him for a few minutes he hung up on me (might have been what I told him)
But when I called back he was different, not sure how to handle it
And hung up, ultimately blocking me

I do too, I just wanted to see where it went

And they don't like when you turn the tables on them

I got called about an hour ago from them too.

Googled the number and other people said they were receiving harassing calls too.

Very weird to see someone post this on GLP.

I'm glad to see it here. Knowledge is power; I'm sure some genuinely nice (likely elderly) people are falling for this shit, and it pisses me off!

I also looked them up and saw that it was a scam....which is why I did the harassment, just wanted to share

Another thing that pisses me off is that I PAY for my phone service. I am not paying for some asshole to try to rip me off in my own home.

They are probably getting names from numbers and searching public records for you....people are terrified that they'll be sued, and they prey on people not being aware of things like the FACT that the IRS won't contact you unless it's by mail or in person

We got a new one.....fake utility company calling to cut our power off if we didn't pay overdue balance with prepaid credit card....

The first time I got the call, I was genuinely momentarily concerned. Then I did the research and realized it was all just another rip off. Persons of less stability might actually lose money to this nonsense.

You should usually try to give the number to the police for follow up, most don't.....I am sure they are getting information in public places
Unless they rip your bank account access.....twice I've had that happen and I have no idea how they did it. I am careful and keep receipts like a hoarder lol
But they did and the first time the idiot sent the order to his personal address lol. Busted

Second time years later. Bank reimbursement and purchases were over seas. I haven't been to.

Being aware of your accounts is important

I messed with these guys as well. Asked them if they were in the IRS building in DC. The dude responded he was, asked him what was across the street and where would be a good place to get a hot dog. Went back and forth for a while and he began to get angry....he called me a mother-f'er and to stop wasting his time!

Lol....I did something similar, asking him to meet me outside so we could talk face to face since phones are so impersonal
He got mad and said we don't do that, just set up payments
So I told him I needed his bank information to send the money lol
He hung up

What cracks me up is we were wasting his time!!! What an asshole !

Anyone who calls me and they dont speak North American i tell them to speak fucking English and tell them to fuck off and hang up

phone scams spoof the caller ID

They might have but he sounds like he knew what was going on

I got the classic, 'this is tech services. we need to discuss your laptop and how it is operating as its causing a problem with our servers.'

I lol'd and said, nice phishing attempt.


He hung up.

I wish there was a way to really find their location....even if the number is spoofed

I'm sure there is.
