Finland 09/17/2016 10:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My hypothesis: everything the science fiction literature has predicted has, in fact, come true However, there's a twist. Obviously we don't have flying cars, incredible aging-reversing medical technologies, photonics based medicine, or route space travel with FTL ships.
Yet, we have megacorporations that wield more power, wealth and influence than many nation states, face/gait recognition, DNA analysis/modification, and total surveillance societies.
Looks like all the dystopian aspects of scifi have come true. The bad things, that is. In contrast, the good, utopian aspects are being kept secret from us and reserved for the elite only! |
