Mini-14 is also available in .300 Blackout.

Buy only Ruger magazines, I have had trouble with aftermarket knockoffs. There are gun accessory companies out there that have adjustable gas blocks and other options to dial in the accuracy of this fine weapon.

Have you had any problems with your Mini 14? How's the stock trigger?

Bought new. First trigger mech had problems; whole firing mechanism would eject. Store swapped with mech out of another Mini-30 next day and has been flawless since. Stock trigger is fine for me. It can be modified by a gunsmith if you want to lighten the pull, but isn't necessary imo.

I doubt that a barrel changeover to convert to .300 BLK is that simple. The gas block has to be adjusted as well for the .300 BLK.

Thanks for the info. Would you say that the stock trigger is heavy, medium or light? I can't imagine that it would be too light.
