About high blood pressure, maybe first check your thyroid labs for signs of hypothyroidism . If you are hypothyroid and not treated (doctors often do not check those tests or know how to read them) , the blood pressure will normalize after getting on the right dose of thyroid meds. Also, one gets bad side effects from the blood pressure medicines if hypothyroid. The British health authorities have even a warning not to start any patient with not well treated hypothyroid on blood pressure medicines before the hypothyroidism is treated correctly, because one will get all side effects.

This is a difficult update for me to post. I never made it to my destination. Halfway there my things (well, part of them at least) were removed from the moving truck and left on the sidewalk. My younger daughter and her boyfriend left me, my older daughter, and her 5 year old special needs child stranded with very little money and no place to go. Then the threatening voice mails and texts arrived from my son and his wife.

You see, my older daughter has been 'hiding' from an abusive domestic partner...and my son, her brother, was threatening to tell the abuser exactly where she and I were. We are no longer at that location, but it's still worrisome. Also, although an extended family member helped us...we're still struggling to get ourselves in a safe and stable situation.

Yendor: I desperately need some energy. I'm running on empty. So is my daughter who is with me. Can you help?

1-Are we safe from the abuser? Is he actively looking for us?
2-Are you able to tell me anything about what happened to turn my younger daughter against me in such a way? I didn't have a clue she was capable of doing such a thing.
3-And, finally...I'm wondering if I'm under some kind of targeted negative energy attack. I've had an ongoing series of odd 'illnesses' (painful swellings, injuries, intense stomach pains) plague me ever since this happened. Perhaps it is a reaction to stress?

There are, of course a lot of details I'm leaving out. Frankly, I'm too tired and heartsick to try to explain further right now.

Earlier today I was wondering how to ask for betterment ( eh lawyer etc ) in my family, both on our mothers side and fathers side, and siblings, and it cooks down to asking for peace and love at least for us.

They can help with emergency shelter, getting a job, lawyer fees, permanent shelter. They help with all kinds of abuse. Please visit their site and see if there is something they can help you all with.

Thanks for the feedback. It's good to hear friendly 'voices' right now.

I'm happy to report we have found a relatively cheap place to live and were able to borrow the money for first month's rent and a deposit. We can only live here until spring but since we're in a place that has brutal winters, it's good to know we will have a roof over our heads at least that long...it buys us some time. Frankly, it's a dump, but the neighborhood is safe. It's much better than the homeless shelter situation we were facing. Money will be tight but we'll figure it out somehow. Neither my daughter or myself are quitters. Turns out that annoying streak of stubborn determination we have may be a saving grace.

I've given a lot of thought to having asked the angels for help before the move. I think they did indeed help us, but not in a way I ever would have expected. I can't help but think going all the way to the 'new house' would not have been a safe situation for us...and being abandoned along the way was actually a better option. This way is hard, but at least the things we're dealing with are out in the open rather than being a behind-the-scenes manipulation.

And...I'm hoping the glp effect keeps the 'abuser/stalker' off our trail.

Please help. Please heal my son's body and mind.

He was diagnosed with schizophrenia years ago. He also suffers from depression, paranoia and anger. He's 39 now.

He's gotten himself into a lot of trouble. He's at least temporarily homeless and facing charges.

He goes off his meds regularly and is impossible to manage. But the meds also affect his health badly.

I pray for him daily.

I've posted before, but no reply.

Please tell me how to ask properly if I'm not doing this right.

And thank you for all you do.

I am so sorry that things have turned out this way for you. There are no words really.
I'm getting that your daughter is involved in a co-dependent relationship with someone who is not good for her, or you (and your family). Inasmuch as I hope she can extricate herself ultimately from his grip, I am glad that you and your other daughter and grandchild are no longer under his influence. I cannot imagine being abandoned on the road and having my belongings strewn about. This is shocking and sad. I am glad however that you have found shelter and are trying hard, under difficult circumstances to make a home where you have been left.
I agree with Bastetcat, we are all undergoing spiritual attack. This is nothing new...this is what they do--the're Professionals! lol But the dark has definitely stepped it up of late.
Knothead, please know that we care about you, we believe in you and in God's protection. The work that Grumpier and the Angels do is awesome as well. We, here, collectively in prayer, humility and dedication to good are awesome as well. WE shall prevail. The going has been tough. It is apparently getting tougher. But, we will hang tight and we will be all right.

Just checking in...thanks Angels, Grumpier, Knothead, everyone sending prayers my way...I woke up this morning feeling better and made it thru another workday...I am deeply grateful for all of you here.

I am so happy for Knothead making that progress! She is so brave, steadfast and courageous through adversity, and to be able to find a silver lining in her situation. I pray that things continue to look up for her and everyone else who comes here...

I saw something relating to DeeAnn's idea to send money...I wish I was able to do so right now, but hopefully in the future. WalMart has a new way to send money, and it appears to be cheaper than Western Union, especially over $50... $4.50 for that amount and I believe 9.99 for $51 to $900...plus there are Walmarts all over the place...you have to show ID and possible proof of address...perhaps KH still has her old drivers license and maybe an old utility bill or maybe they won't ask...have to have the reference number for the transaction. Pretty sure that's cheaper than Western Union...or maybe her daughter has Zelle or Venmo that a lot of young people use....apps that I think don't require much more than an email address...not sure....

Just a thought...I have enough karma to offer a trial upgrade but it says not available on my karma page. I would be happy to do that for someone if they will allow....still don't really get how this karma thingy works around here....

As for the poster who commented about asking God directly, I would say we all do ask God directly, and that Jesus and God (depending on your belief system) direct Angels to God's Will...and that asking or calling on Angels is not the same as worshipping Angels, but more like asking middle management in the heavenly hierarchy.

Also, I am reminded of the centurion who asked for healing of a family member and did not ask Jesus to come to them, but took it on faith that because Jesus said it would be so...and Jesus marveled at the man's faith when the man said, I tell others what to do and they do it...so I think Angels do God's bidding...Just my 2 cents, not a theologian by any stretch....

DeeAnn, thank you so much for the generous offer, but I can't accept. Besides, we're okay for now...and it looks like social services is going to give us some kind of assistance...we're waiting to see how that works out. Meanwhile, we have food, shelter and internet. So, we're fine...just shell shocked. It's the heating bills over winter that worry me. I have a feeling this place is going to be hard to keep warm.

My sister will be here Sunday night, and she's bringing us some things we need. She'll also help us get some things done that are hard to do without a car. Mostly, though, I'll be glad for her company for a few days.

I'm really grateful for my friends here in this thread. You guys are like a lifeline. In fact, I have a lot to be grateful for...like finding this house...it was kind of miraculous how it came about. And the help we got, even from people we didn't know, moving in here. I have a feeling the angels were helping us all along the way, and that this experience is 'meant to be'. We will be gaining something valuable from it.

Hillbilly, my paid membership runs out tonight. So tomorrow...no star. I got an email from paypal today telling me my subscription payment didn't go through (just as well, not currently in the budget) because of a problem on glp's end...and they would try again on the 13th. Huh? I thought paypal dropped glp, and there's another way to pay now. All that was happening as I was packing to move, so I may have missed some of the details. I'll have to figure out how to take advantage of that two week free membership Trinity was offering...if that's still a thing.

Bastetcat, I'm alternating between being brave and determined, and downright terrified...and strangely amused in a rather dark kind of way. I find myself laughing over the ridiculous turn my life has taken. I mean, really, it's all so crazy! It's like finding oneself on the Jerry Springer show...or living in a country song...or stuck in a dream. It's not even a bad dream...it's a goofy dream! And then I think about my traitorous daughter and the melancholy hits. But then that passes and I get up and find something productive to do so I feel like I'm making progress. As you well know from your own situation, we do what we have to do...and it's often a matter of just plodding along until we reach our destination. Just gotta keep the faith.
