Hi flatbed, you may have gone to the pond. I dont know how to verify that, but its a good sign that you dreamed of your pond. I have short memories of going to the ponds myself, 3 different times i dreamt of being under the water. I hope you are feeling a little better today.

I want to share a story here today. I dont just believe in Angels and Jesus, I know they are Real! Back around early spring of 2017 i contacted grumpier in another thread, i think it was the money thread, all i did was post and he replied. I had been having a bad day, and arguing with my wife. At around mid day, i was sitting in my crane cab and something came over me, i became very tired and drifted off to sleep. In a instant, i was lifted out of my body and travelling swiftly up the side of a highrize skyscraper building. It was startling but i just went with it. As i got nearer to what i thought had to be the top of the building, i passed an opening which looked like a rollup garage door. Inside the opening stood a lady and i passed her right up and kept going for a bit more. Everything stopped, and as i hovered there next to the building, A Very Commading Voice said, Thank God For Women! At that very moment a hand touched the top of my head and a warm oil like substance covered my head and down over my shoulders and over my upper torso, it felt so peaceful and comforting and it felt like an explosion of Love. I went back to grumpiers thread and posted those exact words, Thank God For Women, it probably looked strange and out of place.
A few other times, early in life i encountered the Angels, i may tell those stories at a later time. Peace

Exactly a year ago, I fed my mother a bland hospital meal.
My brother had called saying she wanted to see me.
I waited on our heating/air friend to replace the blower fan here before I went to see her.
The family were gathered in the waiting room, but I went to her room.
I joined them after she went to sleep. That was my goodbye.

That is beautiful Yendor. Your experience reminds me of what John St. Julian spoke about in this video. Your pineal gland holds an oily substance referred to as the sacred secretion or Chrism known as the Christ within. I wonder if the oil like substance covering your head represented your awakening of sorts.

Just watched the video, perhaps thats what happened. I dont follow the lunar cycles, so im not sure where it would have been at that time. In 2013 i got back into working out and disciplined diet and was in the best shape i had been in 20 years. The day after my birthday, on june 21, i went to chicago and did the floatation tanks, as a result i had what a friend told me was , my heart chakra opened. Later that summer i experienced what i believe was a full pineal chakra opening, it was only 1 time for a short few minutes, at that time i saw pictures of Jesus, like if there was a art gallery slideshow, then i messed it all up by going back to heavy drinking and smoking weed for the next 4 years, which through searching, i found this thread in 2017 and ive been here since.

Answer: The origin of anointing was from a practice of shepherds.
Lice and other insects would often get into the wool of sheep, and when they got near the sheep's head,
they could burrow into the sheep's ears and kill the sheep.
So, ancient shepherds poured oil on the sheep's head.
This made the wool slippery, making it impossible for insects to get near the sheep's ears because the insects would slide off.
From this, anointing became symbolic of blessing, protection, and empowerment.
