I think you are wrong about the flesh being Satan, but I do think humans are taught to believe that we are inherently evil.
It's even coded directly into the English language (the language of the angels) >> LIVE = EVIL
The angels gave us language, alphabets and metallurgy. They taught our women how to apply makeup (a form of deception) and taught us how to make war on each other. None of what they have given us is for our own benefit.
The language we had before they corrupted everything (at the Tower of Babel) was pure and was probably the same telepathic language that all other creatures and plants on earth still share. They gave us alphabets in order to disconnect us from the universal mind of God.
How do you think shaman communicate with plants? How do you think animals know what plants are not poisonous or what plants to eat when they feel ill?
The alphabet is just a series of sigils designed for a very specific purpose. Control. Basically it's a human programming language.
