"6" is the number of man, unregenerate man. Wicked, unsaved man. Man is a "trinity," a tripartite being, since man was made in God's Image-- Father, Son, Holy Ghost.

So continuing, there is a "6" for man's unredeemed and unsaved body, there's a "6" for man's unsaved and sinful soul, and there is a "6" for man's unsaved and unregenerated spirit, unregenerated by the Blood of Christ, of course. So sinful man exists and depends on the world of Satan for sustenance, instead of depending on God's resources by faith. So in the end Satan has the stamp of the Beast's approval to exist in the Devil's world, the final stamp of approval, which is 666. Also means the unholy trinity too, the Beast (Antichrist), The False Prophet, and the Devil.
