Earths magnetic field is weakening and failing fast. I hope it is just short term event, but this is really bad! Simple27 User ID: 48123712 United States 10/14/2016 03:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | While the map doesn't yet cover the whole of the US, it's already revealing regions that we should be concerned about. As you can see in the image below, Minnesota and Wisconsin are at a particularly high risk, with the red dots indicating where geoelectric hazards are at their most dangerous, followed by the black dots. In comparison, the grey, white, yellow, and green dots are areas where geoelectric hazards pose less of a risk (in descending order of risk). But as you can see, more than half the US hasn't been charted, as the researchers don't yet have congressional approval for the funding required to survey the rest of the country. Love warns it's important to complete the work – especially the northeast US. The researchers say the northeast region is a high-priority area in particular, due to its combination of high population metropolitan centres and corresponding grid infrastructure – but so far they're short the estimated US$500,000 it would take to survey the area. ShawStraw User ID: 72556186 United States 10/17/2016 06:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was just looking up space weather last night. Felt anxious all day yesterday, it got worse as the evening went on. Then my sinuses were almost completely blocked by bedtime, happened just within a few hours' window. Upset stomach last night as well, although I ate nothing that should've been a problem. And for the last few days, I've had weird muscle cramps in odd parts of the body that I usually have no problems with. I would've thought it all bunk, except I also had the anxiety and the sinus problems and a sinus headache a few weeks ago or whenever the last time was that there was discussion about a geomagnetic storm. And I felt just the same way as I did last night. Thought about it again today, I can feel the anxiety starting to build again this afternoon. I hope no sinus problems or muscle cramps tonight, because I otherwise feel pretty ok at the moment. |
