Guy I know says they're not dependable... Two took off for a show I wanna say? One had to abort and the other broke down on arrival and sat for two years till they could get it fixed... |

I have traveled this area for many years and have never seen 3 up at one time. I see one quite often, but never 3, or even 2. War coming? Quoting: Informed1 Dyess AFB info: The host unit at Dyess is the 7th Bomb Wing (7 BW) assigned to the Global Strike Command Eighth Air Force. The 7 BW is one of only two B-1B Lancer strategic bomber wings in the United States Air Force, the other being the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. Pic: [link to tinypic.com] Its a pilot thing nothing to it. I bet that was quite the intimidating thing to see though. Growing up in Wichita we had B1's until 15+years ago. Can just imagine what that would have been like to see OP can't fault you for posting |

Obama had all the US MIRVS disassembled back in 2014 under the START treaty. [link to universalknowledgeforum.com] I'm afraid it's a little too late... |

There were 3 practicing touch and go just circling the base and landing taking off non stop. Was awesome to watch. Three is an attack squadron so that's how they are trained. Dyess is their home base so nothing new going on. They need practice and that is what they do routinely. If it was war they will all be sent over seas. Some have gone to Korea some to their Indian ocean home away from home, Diego Garcia.. USA be prepared! |
