'Most Accurate' Poll: Trump Edges Ahead and Gains Momentum With Election Just 5 Days Away

Hillary Clinton's lead over Donald Trump has all but disappeared since the email scandal exploded on the scene Friday. She currently holds a 1-point lead — 45% to 44% — in a four-way race.

In a two-way matchup that excludes Johnson and Stein, Clinton's lead over Trump is now less than 2 points — 45.1% to 43.4%.

The FBI's bombshell announcement on Friday is clearly driving a shift in voter sentiment. The IBD/TIPP poll, for example, has consistently shown that regardless of whom they intended to vote for, more than half thought Clinton would win the election.

The latest results, however, show that just 49% now say that. And Trump's share of the independent vote jumped from 41% on Saturday to 48% today.

The IBD/TIPP results comes as other national polls show the race tightening significantly. Clinton's lead in the ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll plunged from 12 points to 1 point in just five days.

Trump had a majority lead all the while. She never had any lead on him ever.

Hillary Clinton's edge over Donald Trump remained at 1 point – 45% to 44% – in a four-way race as Friday's latest revelations in the email scandal continued to shake the Clinton campaign, according to the latest IBD/TIPP presidential tracking poll.

This continues a three-day slide in the IBD/TIPP Poll for Clinton after FBI Director James Comey announced Friday that he's reinstating the bureau's investigation into Clinton's homebrew email server while she was secretary of state.

In just three days, Clinton has largely lost a 4-point lead. But not to third party candidates. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson gets just 4% of the vote, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein is at 2%.

Unrounded data now give Hillary Clinton a 44.6%-43.7% lead over Trump in a four-way matchup, or less than 1%.

Meanwhile, in a two-way matchup excluding Johnson and Stein, Clinton clings to a 44.7% to 43.9% lead -- a mere 0.8 percentage point.

If you consider the over sampling of Dem's by most polls, Trump probably has a 7-10% lead as of 10/31.. By November 8th, it will be over 10%

If it takes a D+7 to give Clinton a 1 point lead then she is fucked.

Only hope is to string together enough EV in the large states full of illegal aliens, and other flotsam and jetsam to get to 270.

That said, Trump pulls out Colorado, Nevada, NM, and Penn she can get all of the illegal votes and manufactured fake votes and it won't matter. Hell, Trump may not even need Virginia at point.

BTW, it is criminal how Obama turned Virginia from a reliable red state by expanding the federal government and having all of these worthless bureaucrats live in Northern Virginia. Shrink the federal government and force these bums to go get an honest job. You know damn well the Northern part of.Virginia will vote for Clinton b/c they all want to keep their cushy do nothing government jobs....

If Clinton is only up 1% nationwide, she is in trouble from an electoral college POV. She is going to win CA, NY, MA, DC, and MD by 25%+, probably by wider margins than even Obama.

But Obama won the overall popular vote by 5MM votes (4%). Let's say Hillary does eke a popular vote victory of 1%, that still means she shed 3-4MM votes overall, even while she is expanding her lead in the aforementioned states, so in other states, she is losing maybe 5MM total.

A lot of those votes will be coming out of known swing states - OH, FL, NV, PA, but she is also probably in a lot more danger than generally recognized in MI, WI, and NM. I expect all of three of those to be surprisingly close on election night.

I agree though that VA is a lost cause for Trump and the GOP in general. The expansion of the DC cancer into NoVa has just gotten worse over the last 8 years. Too many lawyers, contractors, and other parasites suckling the Fed tit. Their livelihood depends on an expansive and ever more powerful federal government.

Agree on all points. That said, if federal government parasite voters don't turn out and if the blacks don't turn out in Hampton Roads then Trump may very well win Virginia too.

Obama didn't win the state by all that much so I think it can happen.

They're going to make it look like it ties basically, then release a completely ridiculous Russia type scandal, full blown, involving Trump and then watch those polls re-explode back into her favor 6+ percent.

Hillary Clinton's lead has entirely vanished since Friday, with the race now deadlocked at 44% to 44%.

The unrounded data show Trump with a slight lead in both the four-way and two-way matchups.

In the four-way race, Trump gets 44.4%, Hillary 44.0%

In the two-way poll, Trump is at 44.2% to Clinton's 44.0%.
