How the fuck is kids sharing candy and having fun a safety risk or exclusionary?!? Kids aren't exclusionary....parents are. ALL the kids get in on the fun for Halloween even if it isn't one of their traditions (in cases where the kids are foreign). Liberal zombies strike again....

I would send my kids to schools in costumes and tell the school they are pagans whose religious beliefs must be respected or I would sue the school.

Since Halloween is a religious celebration it would be better to get all religious customs/celebrations out of government schools. People should observe them on their own time.

Halloween is NOT a religious holiday.It was born a harvest time tradition if you feel the need to go back a thousand years, and has been peppered with this and that throughout time, but it has become an American "spooky consumer" holiday.

They banned Halloween a long time ago in the school system here. It's called a "Fall Party" and you can't bring treats because of all the "allergies". So my kids bring home a million pencils and plastic garbage. And probably can't say Halloween at school.

Also, they are slowly trying to make Halloween extinct overall. I work in retail and notice the decline every year with Halloween merchandise and specialty stores. It's mainly just candy now. And the same décor and costumes from last previous years.

I think I'm keeping my kids home from school on Halloween so we can celebrate properly.

Let me break it down for you geniuses since you've all apparently "overthought" it. The school is afraid sex offenders will show up in costumes to the Halloween festivities. While sad they had to do this, it's a good decision.

When I was in elementary school, many families were poor and couldn't afford store bought costumes. Usually, the parents would make the costumes themselves for their kids. Hell, I remember going as a ghost one year. It was just a white sheet with 2 holes cut for the eyes. Didn't even know about the KKK back then and people knew you were a ghost and not a Klansman....

Why not have an arts period set aside to paint faces on the kids for Halloween. This is so there would be no feelings of Exclusions....
