I moved 4 years ago. When this goes down they can lock down the main roads fairly quick. You'll have to travel secondary and back roads.

Let me tell you my friend. Never, not today, tomorrow, or anytime soon. Everyone is lazy. A few skirmishes here and there, but you won't be getting any Syria type of environments here. Even if war was to break out it wouldn't mean you don't have to pay your taxes nor your bills. Free living is a thing of the past maybe 200 years ago you could go squat in some forest and live off the land, but as of today you'd be scooped up for trespassing.

My advice for you is to find a fulfilling hobby. Something to make you happy.

If work has gotten you down then go back to school and learn something new to make your ends meet.

Don't waste your time looking for doom, because it ain't going to go full SHTF. When and shut hits the fan it will be over within 24 hours.
