One of the great movies of all time. However, had Kubrick factored in the burgeoning welfare state and the damage hippie libtard would do to the country, he might have chosen a different date. Maybe 2101 and even that's wishful thinking at this point. |

sashitaa User ID: 73268010 United States 10/26/2016 08:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1968 was a horrible year. January--The Tet Offensive in Viet Nam showed that the US was not winning the war any time quickly. April--Martin Luther King, Jr. was murdered in Memphis. This sparked a week of terrible riots. June--Robert Kennedy, who was running for the Democratic nomination was killed after winning the California primary. August--The Democratic Convention was marred by what a commission later branded a "police riot." (some may differ with that conclusion). November--Richard Nixon was elected President. The War in Viet Nam was going on the entire year. I was 17 and thought the world had gone mad. |
