My Health Insurance Premium DROPPED $125 a month after United QUIT Obamacare!

I really don't even understand this whole Obamacare thing. I thought ALL insurances were under Obamacare as it's the universal shitty law now.

I just got a letter from Premera that they no longer offer the coverage that I currently have. :( It was not Obamacare and it had been going up and up. Time to look for something else. Damn.

I don't know why any care has to be so pricey. I mean the body can heal itself in most cases. Can't wait for this fraud charade is over...I just can't fucking wait till this fraud infrastructure is over!!!!

There are mandates all insurance companies have to follow, like covering children until age 26 if they don't have insurance, free annual checkups, free birth control, have to sell insurance to everyone regardless of preexisting conditions, etc., but then there's also the marketplace where people who don't have private or employer provided insurance can buy a government subsidized plan. Unfortunately, because of all the new "free" requirements and subsidies, the insurance companies raised premiums so that the people getting cheap Obamacare are having it paid for by the people who make "too much" and are otherwise healthy. That's my interpretation anyway. They can't just add all these new people to the plans with preexisting conditions that they didn't have before without having to recoup the costs somewhere, hence enormous premiums and even higher deductibles.

Maybe five years ago, we had insurance with just co-pays for everything and maybe small deductibles of about 150. Now it costs us more for the premiums and we have a 1500 per person deductible, and after we meet the deductible, we still have 20% coinsurance.

Look at their historical stock price over the past 25 years if you want to know what kind of company they are. Why do we allow companies to make share holder profits off of death, sickness, misery?

All healthcare coverage that is left is ACA compliant, whether bought through the obamacare exchange or not. That is why all our previous coverage keeps disappearing. The have to create new packages. And not everyone qualifies for obamacare deductions, so called deductions, but we are forced to be insured. Figure that beauty out. Pft!

Our premium for a family of 5 just went up a whopping 64%, from $1166 to $1915. No subsidy. I have a daughter with multiple health issues so can't go with a cheap plan as all of her secondary care providers like urology, neurology, colorectal, etc. don't accept the cheaper plans.

They are also mandated to charge the same price for everybody regardless of how healthy they are. I get charged the same as a diabetic obese crack whore with AIDs and Herpes who has the same coverage. Premiums used to be based on how healthy you were and how much you used the medical system. Now Obamacare made it more "Fair".

United Healthcare dropped out of the ACA "Exchange". That does not mean they are not compliant with ACA regulations, just that they saved a bunch of money by not providing ACA plans on the govt' run exchanges. Part of that saved money was then passed on to their customers as premium reductions.
