What else would you sell for $20 a pop? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73070705 Drugs, kids?! My point is the language is interesting and this is a grown man selling beanie babies. If it were drugs, he probably would have said "all 420," rather than "all 480." Georgetown Law Faculty and Staff, My parents are visiting this weekend, and I need to sell my enormous collection of beanie babies! I've approximately 480 little creatures of joy, and I'm selling each one for $20.00. You must buy all 480, though. It is a collection (not an auction)... They are very respectful and amicable with one another, and they are (for the most part) cat and dog friendly. Some are sassier than others, naturally. Please let me know! My parents can't find out. Peter Mattingly x9599 [link to wikileaks.org (secure)] Sounds like they are talking about Cannabis/Marijuana/Pot. Probably selling a pound of Marijuana, as 480 grams, is a pound. Must be some really good stuff, or because the people it is being sold to are super rich, to warrant a $9k price tag. |

The exact price of high end stuff in the Washington D.C area, is about 9k. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10675148 But the addressee: [email protected] wouldn't make sense if it was something like that. I think it's actual Beanie babies. My point exactly. Plus you need to factor in that he's a crazy, nutjob liberal who would probably collect something like that. Weed sounds a little more plausible than children. But then again, why use a school e-mail at all for something like that? And why address all of Georgetown Law Faculty and Staff? That's pretty heat. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 73031279 United States 11/03/2016 04:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pretty sure they're legit beanie babies. What else would you sell for $20 a pop? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73070705 9,600$ seems an awful lot for beanie babies.. but then again.. it seems like a low price for anything else.. like children. That's about right for a whole collection. Some people were retarded nuts over those. Drugs? I don't think so. Dog and cat friendly? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 49039178 United States 11/03/2016 05:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | None of it makes any sense. If he's embarrassed that his parents will find out about his collection, then he'd be embarrassed that all the faculty/staff would know about it as well. Plus, he couldn't possibly think someone at the school would spend that sort of money on beanie babies, especially on short notice. If they really were beanie babies, and he needed to get rid of them before his parents visited, he'd simply box them up or sell them on ebay or craigslist. There is NO WAY he'd try to sell them to faculty at Georgetown Law. How do we know the announcements@georgetown is an official university announcement email? Maybe the email only goes to a certain group...and beanie babies are a code? IDK, it's weird. |
