I've lived in North-Central Alabama my entire life and it's never been this bad. Parts of Smith Lake are dry as a bone and there is even grass growing in some spots. Makes me want to cry. I believe in God, guns and Old Glory. If that offends you, I won't say I'm sorry. "My home's in Alabama...Southern born and Southern bred." If you put a candy wrapper on poison and give it to the sheep, they will eat it with a smile on their faces. |

Quoting: BamaGirl73 It's sad and I noticed several years ago when the hurricanes stopped coming into the gulf our weather here has gotten much drier over that time. I think we are dealing with a cumulative effect. Like a snowball going downhill. |

Love to fish. My son and I have been walking down the creeks and stream beds we normally fish. Dry as a bone. Fires burning around the area. Bad smell of smoke over entire Huntsville area yesterday. Drove around the area yesterday from Fayetteville TN to Birmingham AL. Water is hard to find except in the big rivers and those are low. We got our first drizzle of rain here in upstate South Carolina today. Looks like it isn't going to amount to much though. We haven't had an rain in over a month. Everything is dry as a bone. |

The Tallapoosa river is all but a trickle. Really ruined some fall fishing. The lake is way down. Low than the new winter level. The foliage is pretty shitty to. It went from green to brown it seemed like. The world just might end with me |

It is, and I'm having to travel down a dirt road to feed out of town family members critters. It's killing me, like moon dust! Surround yourself with people who get it. |

I thought my car was so dirty; until I began looking around. Everyones' car is completely covered in dust. Also, my sinuses are very clogged with it. And my skin is unusually dry. There is no immediate rain in the forecast, and the drought is expected to linger through January 2017. " You wanna see something fucked up look at this.
